Had you taken two minutes to look it up you would have found that propercarcare.com was registered in 1999.

I wrote propercarcare.com it redirects to autogeek.net-pretty low of them.
It should be common business practice when establishing a domain to also register common derivations and common misspellings. It is all about not giving your competition or just normal cyber squatting from getting misdirected to other places.
Of course that could mean registering thousands of other sites. The derivatives and misspellings can be endless.
And then there are those who whined and complained about DC being changed to autopia.
Well, isn't that modern business marketing?:toetap05:
You're wrong about PBMA purchasing Autopia. PBMA took control of Detail City and renamed it Autopia Forums to take advantage of the Autopia sales name.
Autopia is a separate entity and NOT a part of PBMA.
False info like this is why I have avoided a registration at AG. Seems like there's a lot of feeders on misinformation over there, and critics too.
You said, I was here to learn. Learn what? About the demise of CMA?
Please don't wander too far from AG.
The post I made about PMBA and who they acquired was directly from a PBMA press release. Take that how ever you want to!
The press release was misleading. You must have missed that discussion.
The PBMA purchase is just a rumor from what I hear. But then again Max at PBMA said that he was going to be "aggressivly expanding" in 2011 with started with squiring detail city and autopia. I can see why people would make the logical jump. Expeciall since this was a sudden event.
Todd you are welcome to delete this post and every other post I have made here and for the fun of it BAN ME!
In the end it does not matter, and I REPEAT, and I REPEAT "I AM STILL SAD TO SEE ALL THIS HAPPENING."
Seems like there's a lot of feeders on misinformation over there, and critics too.

Fair enough, but there is a difference between hearing a rumor and speculating. In this case, at least to me, 'hearing a rumor' seems to be used interchangeably with 'I'm making a guess here and I want to see if my hunch is correct.'
It has been too long since I was in school (and I don't remember much of my college years anyways but that it is a topic for another thread) but I did study business.
If PBMA really purchased CMA, then I don't believe it would make any business sense at all for them to allow CMA to close, sell off inventory at low prices (killing our margins and temporarily hurting PBMA's sales) only to have to re-establish the brand at a later date. Perhaps somebody will a better background on accusations and mergers could correct me but... If PBMA was interested in the hardware (namely the inventory) it wouldn't make sense to sell it at 25%, they would wrap into existing stock. If PBMA purchased CMA and was planning to keep it as a separate entity then it wouldn't make sense to have a going out of business sale (which might reduce cost due to reduced inventory) because the cost of re-establishing the business would be greater than the slightly reduced price.
