A major reformulation on any established product is rare, and you can be assured distributors and vendors are informed. Reformulations are usually to improve a product, which would be a welcomed announcement and certainly not hidden.



Klasse has not reformulated the AIO for 20 years or the Sealant Glaze for more than 7. The Leather/Vinyl Cleaner was reformulated some time ago to meet VOC regulations. It is now a water based cleaner.



Please continue your detailing, while secure in the knowledge that Klasse is still the same wonderful product it has always been.

As I understand it, Carlack improved its own brand which is apparently similar to AIO. Is the Klasse AIO a custom blend, to your knowledge - assuming it is not a commercial secret.

While not familiar with that particular manufacturer, I can assure you that Klasse has always been a proprietary formula and not issued under other labels.



Per a previous question.. The AIO and Sealant also meet VOC regulations and can ship into any state.
 
Thank you Irene. I've gotten a kick out of all these allegations about Klasse this and Klasse that. I've been using it for years and will continue to do so.
 
Jeez, any of you guys ever read George Orewell's "Animal Farm"? Could we ave jumped on the bandwagon any harder?



Do some of your own tests before you make uninformaed decisions. I would, but my only bottle of SG was purchased about a month ago. If anyone (near me) would like to send me a sample of SG that they know is older, I'd be glad to do some testing for you guys.

We think it makes more sense to post the products that cannot ship. As manufacturers notify their vendors, you will start to see more notices on sites.



There are just a handful of states affected right now, and manufacturers are quickly developing alternatives.

reading this thread reminds me of a hatfield and mccoy fued. why all of the fuss?



i'm a newcomer to this forum, but i have researched enough in the past few weeks to understand an unregulated industry when i see one. everything seems to be based on hearsay, clever marketing and seemingly innocent positioning.



from an outsider's point of view, half of the participants in this discussion have something to gain from the demise or survival of this klasse product.



what say you all?

I just ordered a new bottle of AIO. It is one of my favorite products for a light polish/paint cleaner.

Whoa... Zane! How did you come to the conclusion that Charlie was pointing a finger at you? Let's not get nuts here.
 
What is the color and consistency of the "new" AIO? I bought AIO last summer, and the color is yellow-tan with a viscosity about like Z5.
 
I have no idea if there was a change in any formula as I've never used it before a month ago but I did AIO followed by 3 coasts of SG and after 4 washes and the spring pollen I can already tell the water beads are getting larger. :(
 
That may just mean, if there is any tweak to the forumla, that the ingredients responsible for beading are fading.
 
Pollen is rough on all protectants. Zaino, Klasse, UPP, WG, carnuaba, etc. Not a good time of year to grade long-term durability from normal year round surface invades (rain, snow, smog, etc).



Pollen must be strong to protect the male gametes on their journey. The outer wall of the pollen grain, called the exine, is composed of a very unusual substance called sporopollenin which is very tough. The inner layer is made of cellulose and is similar in construction to an ordinary plant cell wall.



This stuff literally just wears away the protectant.

That's right - all sealants are equal, but some sealants are more equal than others. :)
