New Klasse

I spoke to a customer rep at autogeek and she said they have not changed the formula. She also stated if they Klasse did make changes they would have to tell their distributors. I usually order from www.klassedirect.com who has better prices even with our 10% discount from autogeek. I will order from klassedirect tonight and ask them if any changes were made.

Bob Faragasso the owner of Klasse USA informed me the formula WAS NOT changed..

now who to believe ?

Is he saying that Klasse was already VOC compliant? Or is he saying it's not compliant and they haven't changed it yet? I don't think Klasse that we have been using for years is VOC compliant. I could be wrong though.

Wow how did you get him on the line? I heard he's a lot harder to get ahold of then say Sal. I have the same questions as Stevet has, I hope you can ask him or asked him those...

Guys, it reallty doesnt matter to me what Klasse or their distributors are saying, or not saying about the change. I'm sure Klasse wouldnt be dumb enough to admit to a change if they knew the new formula is only a shell of its former self. Its almost self-incriminating that they wont admit it." New and UN-improved" is not exactly a great marketing campaign.

Ive been using this stuff for a long time and Ive used enough of it on different cars to know the difference. The last bottles I have of both AIO and SG, are without a doubt, definitely different products to all previous bottles I have. The color, feel and smell are very obviously different. It really didnt matter to me until I had trouble getting the SG to set up. It takes forever for it dry.

After seeing a few cars completely lose beading after a few washes, I knew it was not the same. I did a water water solubility test in a glass. Both reacted very similar. I split the hood of my test pig down the middle and compared the old to the new with a cold water rinse the day after application. After 5 minutes the new stuff was dead and the old stuff was still beading tightly. About 4 weeks later, the entire side with new SG was flat. The other side is still glossy and beads after 6 weeks.

In comparison, this new Klasse is not even playing in the same league with the previous formula.

No matter what they say, it is, what it is...

Sal is quite easy to get ahold of. Many people talk to him on a daily basis. He takes most calls before lunch (as in almost always answers the phone himself).

You read me wrong. I was saying that Sal is easy to get ahold of. I was saying that I heard it was hard to get Bob on the line...

Those are pretty good tests (doing half/half with the different SG mixes) and it seems that those of us getting new Klasse SG bottles would probably do well to chime in on this. I wonder if it's consistent through all the new orders of Klasse.

My bottle's from 3 yrs ago and still have half left so I am at least relieved. May end up trying Zaino afterwards since I have always been curious about their products.

Thanx, NoseBleed. This is getting more disconcerting to us Klasse believers. :o
