SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A Tri-State woman is in critical condition Wednesday after police say her husband shot her while they were having sex.
Timothy Havens, 38, told Springfield police he was reaching for something on the nightstand when the pistol went off, hitting his estranged wife Carolyn in the upper chest. (Hear part of the 911 call)
Carolyn Havens, 42, is being treated at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. This is isn't the first time there's been trouble for the Havens. Court documents showed Timothy served 60 days in jail for assaulting his wife and was ordered to go to anger management classes.
His arrest Tuesday for the weekend shooting was for violating a civil protection order that Carolyn had taken out against him earlier this year.
Bond was set at $75,000 after prosecutors asked for a high bond, "due to alleged prohibited contact between the parties (and) the suspicious nature of the circumstances surrounding (her injury)."

When I clicked on the link that you posted it made my computer automatically scroll sideways
I could not make it stop until I shut off the computer and let the ram dump what was in it then reboot.
But I'm tired of reading about some moron that would have sex with someone who she had a restraining order on him.
Way I see it if she dies that is one less to pollute the gene pool because their sure is no shortage of stupid people.
Notice how all these have one thing in common they done something stupid.

Those Morons in congress made me a lot of easy money.
I bought several brand new Machine guns of various makes and models paid 500 to 600 for them.
When congress passed the assault rifle ban it was still legal to own then and transfer them to someone else but you can no longer buy a new one,
So you have a demand but cut off the supply.
I decided it was too expensive to buy all that ammo and I sold them from 5500 to 7500 a piece

JP....so what you want to see is college kids toting guns on campus?
Most of them don't know when to put the bottle down at a party..and empowering them with guns for self protection?

Absolutely. I won't go into whether or not I carry on campus or not, but I doubt I would have been begging for my life with the little Chinese guy if I were at VT.
Stupidity comes in all ages, races, sexes, and places. Again, this goes back to people wanting to blame the gun instead of the person. I think it's a Constitutional right to be empowered to defend yourself via arming with a gun if you so choose. The Supreme Court agrees with me.
I don't see waiting nearly an hour for the "trained professionals" to arrive as you are stabbed, beaten and strangled as an answer either.

I know I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing the kids at my daughter's college (when she goes) were packing especially when they are partying.
I also would like my daughter to be able to protect herself. Non-lethal weapons are an answer.
