COME AT ME BRO
just an FYI - carrying while drinking is a big no-no. The gun doesn't know if you are drinking or not, so it can't take itself out of it's holster. The person carrying is responsible for doing that.

I also would like my daughter to be able to protect herself. Non-leathal weapons are an answer.
Stupidity comes in all ages, races, sexes, and places. Again, this goes back to people wanting to blame the gun instead of the person.
Just sayin' from experience.

Your right and in the hands of a college kid who is blasted on booze from some party..decides that some drunken remark offens him...pulls out his self defence and kills?
Just because its a no-no doesn't mean it won't happen...in fact if carrying on campus was legal it would increase the likely hood of it happening
Just speaking of college campus...those are learning institutions not places that our young adults should be carrying weapons to protect themselves...if that is the case then the answer is in better protection for them.
Sounds like you have a few stories to tell. :notme:
Just like if the bad guys knew everyone was armed would most likely cut down on crime. Bad guys look for victims, not evenly matched opponents.
Csn you link me to the studies from which this conclusion was based?
Sure, as soon as you can link me to studies that show where all these folks at college parties are getting drunk and whipping out guns at offhand remarks.
It goes both ways. That was the point I was trying to make. Anyone can twist any statistic and study to suit their argument.
JP
That was my remark not his...the reason you don't see many of these stories..is its still illegal to have guns on campus
And there's lots of student organizations actively working to get that restriction lifted and removed. You can do the legwork yourself, but I can think of three or four links I've seen just this week that reported that exact thing.
/I think I am getting my own post off the original topic. We'll be okay as long as Bart doesn't log in.Hahahaha!
Why do you say that Beemerboy????Pretty easy to get off track with this one...and God help us BB logs in![]()

Someone needs to inject a little common sense into this thread.
George Bush will regulate shoes very soon.
I think people should have a back ground check before being allowed to wear shoes.
Shoes should not be worn in public places without proper training.:gotcha:
Yep I know the outcome, I go home and some scumbag goes to the morgue.Yea its easier to dodge a shoe....don't think GW would have had the same out come...if the shoe thrower had a hand gun.:gotcha:
Your comparing apples and oranges..with shoes and guns...where you are not? is the right to defend what you believe in or yourself...the choice of weapon you use will determine the out come...in the case of a gun...I think you know the outcome of that:gotcha:

I have had a CWP for 55 years.Perhaps?
Or you are arrested for using deadly force with out due cause....
Some one throws his shoe at you...you in turn pull out your hand gun and kill them...or injure them for life over it....perfect:huh:
I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6
