as long as any microfiber towel you use performs with no negative results, it doesn't matter who makes it... :bigups

Agreed. I bought what looks like the same towel from yet another company. I can't remember what it was (have to check tomorrow at work on my work PC), but it seems like it was a couple bucks cheaper.

Tips for the microfiber towel:

There are different kinds of microfiber towel becasue of different weaving way, each item is for the special use, details as follows:

1,all purpose terry weave microfbier towel:

all purpose microfiber cloth is great for everyday cleaning. Quickly collects dust like a magnet and absorbs spills easily. This versatile microfiber cloth will work great in and around your home.

2,glass and mirrors suede weave microfiber towel:

Made from an optical quality microfiber weave, it works miracles on windows, mirrors, viewing screens, silver and chrome. Enjoy the lint and streak-free shine as you wash, dry and polish the most delicate surfaces.

3, scouring cross weave microfiber towel

Designed for quick and easy cleaning of grease and grime, This amazing microfiber scouring cloth can be used to clean your dishes, appliances and wipe off counter tops. Its gentle wash action makes it safe to use on any surface as it effortlessly scours away stubborn grease and grime.

4, super absorbent waffle weave microfiber towel

Designed for quick and easy drying and polishing, this microfiber cloth is a little wonder. Use in your kitchen, bathroom, on dishes, counter tops etc. Safe to use on any surface, it will dry and polish to a lint and streak-free shine.

These are four main items of micrifiber towel. The terry and waffle weave are the most suitable for the car dry and cleaning. Also there are other style of microfiber products for car cleaning for example mitts with chenille or terry weave microfiber.

What's the popular opinion on The Ultimate Guzzler Waffle Weave Microfiber Drying Towel by Cobra..........?

I'm looking for a very large drying towel to help speed my drying. Anybody have other suggestions on LARGE MF drying towels?
I like the ultra-soft material the Guzzler is made from but like a large Griots WW I have I don't care for the pockets at all. It might just be I'm too set in my ways to use the pockets.

For a normal sized large WW my favorite by far is the WCDS 2436 Waffle Weave Drying Towel. Made with ultra-soft WW material with a silk/satin border it's basically identical to the one that Chemical Guys sells but this is the best price I've seen and Excel offers great customer service.

If you actually want a really, really large towel I'd suggest the Danase Extremely Large Water Devourer. Although it isn't a WW material this guy at 26"x48" is huge, and it really did suck the water off a mini-van w/o breaking a sweat. Like Excel Danase is another vendor that offers great customer service. (Edit: Unfortunately Danase is no longer in business)

If I could have just one drying towel it would be the WCDS 2436, but the Extremely Large Water Devourer might be what you're looking for. I don't use them often, but it's nice to have one when I need it.

Sweet. I'm gonna grab an excel ww.

After all my hard work on my crew cab 06 pickup, I noticed some swirl marks from my poor quality microfibers. Hopefully this towel will put an end to that!

So many recommendations it's very had to decide which MF towel or WW I would get to start my set off the right way. I have a good idea though on which I'm leaning more towards.

Someone recommended Griot's Garage Speed Shine Micro Fiber Cloths, does anyone have any experience with them?

That's kind of a small towel for drying a car IMO. Viking drying towels are nice and so are the ones from Target. Good quality towels for OTC at a good price.

has anyone tried tropicare WW? On another forum I heard they are one of the best... 8.99 24x36 :) thinking of buying 4 if the shipping get a lil cheaper.

Have anybody tried the yellow Cobra guzzler HEAVY DUTY waffle weave? How is it compared to the regular green guzzler?

the green guzzler WW is nice, but the thicker foam core WW i do not care for. they are too thick for my liking...

I heard that the white ones are really nice towels, as well. Let me know how they work out if you decide to try them.

I've been wondering what the diff is between the Griot's MFs for SpeedShine and the ones for their Waterless Wash  That's a second Q I'd like to ask them (the first being the diffs between their two wheel cleaners).

I'm not a big fan of conventional MFs for drying. Even my Shamrocks are more likely to leave tiny amounts of water behind compared to my WWs.

FWIW, I usually just buy my MFs from PakShack. The Shamrocks caught my eye when I was putting together a kit for a pal of mine in the Jag Club so I gave 'em a try, same with my uhm.....eh, forget what their called, the super thick/plush white ones  But after using YoSteve MFs for years I'm pretty much all about the PackShack ones these days, not that there aren't a lot of good ones on the market.

.......After reading this thread multiple times and reading the products that are recommended I have come down to two options. The MF's I am considering are:

PakShak Green Monster" Ultra-Microband Plush Micro Fiber Towel

Fluffer Miracle Supra Microfiber Towel ..............
It's pretty hard to beat PakShak's MF's and his customer service is great. You might want to also get some WW drying towels. I usually get mine from Excel:

Excel Monterey Waffle Weave Drying Towel

Looks like he's temporarily sold out, so PakShak sells the same great WW:

MICROPAK 25" x 36" Ultra-Soft Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Towel

Most of us have tons of MF's that run the range from Monster Fluffly to thinner pile to WW (waffle weave) drying towels. All have a use so it can be difficult to recommend just one towel unless the use for it is known. It is however, easy to recommend PakShak or Excel Detail as a vendor because their products and customer service can't be beat.
