What is the best Microfiber towel on the market for Drying cars???

Your paying for the size of the towel. The smaller towels are the same quality but less in price.

I like larger towels, but my regular waffles are maybee a little bit to rough to use after I have polished the car and washed it afterwards, I don't want to introduce more swirls. So maybee I should try this one?

There really are some big differences in softness with differnt WWMFs. My softest ones are *very* different feeling compared to my regular ones.

I just squeeze them out like I been doing for the last 40 years.

No matter how well I wring mine out, once they're reallywet they don't work as well as one that hasn't been saturated.

If the waffle weave beacomes saturated on one average sized car, then you have to rewax :D

Or start doing something to get the majority of water off before you use the WW :D

Guess I'm so used to doing the big dog-haulers that I don't even *think* about only using one!

if they improved it, i may have to give it another try. it just sucks when you spend good money on something the first time around and not be satisfied with it. it kinda sticks with you, you know what i mean? it's like a first impression thing...

BTW.... AG sells the gold microfiber drying towel (i have the 16x24 microfiber towel version of this and it's nice) as well and i wouldn't hesitate to buy it from them, i've been pretty happy with their selection of microfiber towels and know that i would get a good quality product...

The Cobra Gold Plush XL Microfiber Towel measures a whopping 26 x 35 inches! Use it to dry your vehicle in minutes.

Cobra Gold Plush Microfiber Combo

p.s. viking makes a nice microfiber drying towel as well, and it can be had at your local k-mart or kragen for less than $10...

You have the yellow AG towel? You like it I see? Looking at ordering the 4 pack of towels you posted.

My local Optimum distributor has 550 gram 16 x 16 MF towels. The softness is absolutely amazing and they suck up water like crazy. I bought 10 a week or so ago, had him come out to me today with 10 more. My Meguiars Super Terry Towels that I've been using in conjunction with the orange Vroom MF towels to dry when washing with ONR have been officially retired.

I don't know who his supplier is or how many he keeps in stock but he is the Dallas area ColorGlo rep.

I just picked up the blue pearl towels from autopia that BigAl mentioned and just got some of the yellow vroom towels last night for $7.00/ea (i got 2).

So my new drying towels include:

2x blue pearl (mentioned by bigal @ $6.00ea)

2x vroom yellow from target $7.00 ea

1x carrand big yellow 25x36 $12.00 ea

Is it me or does the Carrand brand look suspiciously similar to the cobra 25x36 gold xl?

those look very similar right down to the banding...not saying they are the same...but very close. Anyone have any input on that?

I'm sorry but I've just beome more and more seperated from the vroom towels for paint purposes. Even the grey ones which seems fine for wax removal or a quick touch up. I've noticed some light marring with the grey vroom lately and the big yellow drying towels leaves a lot of lint. They DO last a long time after several washes (i use a meticulate washing/drying process).

The cobras I have are just better. Never tried pakshak or any other brands really. I'd like to though.

i have the yellow microfiber towel and it's nice, i have yet to be dissappointed with any microfiber towels that i've purchased from AG...

I have this one:

The Guzzler Waffle Weave Microfiber Drying Towel by Cobra is a better drying towel than a chamois, or terry cloth towel. Microfiber makes the best

It's OK. It soaks up water great at first, but it likes to stay damp, and so drying can become a little tedious as you don't get to use the full absorbency of the towel.

A lot of the towels look a lot alike. The one I have looks suspiciously like the Sonus towel and a few others. I think that they're all made by the same company overseas who sells them to different websites.

as long as any microfiber towel you use performs with no negative results, it doesn't matter who makes it... :bigups

oh of course, I dont care who makes it, as long as it performs like I want! :)

just tried the blue perl drying towel, and its very nice, used 1 for half my car and it was perfect, no lint.

Then I tried the Target big yellow ones, very nice feel, however I felt that it was leaving a little lint, I have since washed it, but dont know if it will leave lint now or not. The lint issue was minor but it was there....

If I had to rate these 2 towels I'd give the blue perl 8/10 and the target one 6.5/10 (due to initial linting, although the lint could be a non-issue after its washed)

I am going to get more blue perl towels. Thanks BigAl for mentioning these great towels! :) :bigups

In our shops we use the Towel Pros, WCT008 towel when we gat a car wet. Not only do they drink more than a jock at a frat party, but they also are very durable, and no linting. Inexpensive as well compaired to many others.

Yvan,

Thanks as always for your kind words. With our new site about two weeks away, I am excited about what is about to happen in terms of towels.

This year has already been great! However, with the new structure, I suspect things to really take off.

Looking foward to seeing you at ICA this year!

I loved the blue pearls with the satin edging. The new ones are still good but no where near the same towel. Its not as soft but still does its job great. I just wished I ordered more when they had the satin edge. The blue pearls are the same exact towel as the cobra window ww towel that AG sells. Atleast thats what it seems like. They are just larger in size of course
