Wouldn't using something like Klasse or Zaino achieve the same results???

Yes, but for 99 cents? I don't think so. I should go to AutoZone and buy a bottle of that brake dust repellent.

I've been testing the Michelin Brake Dust Repellant and it seems to work so far...Still forming an opinion however.

Is the Michillen tire shine still available, thought I heard others on here talking about how they loved it but that it was very hard to find?

I've been using the tire dressing and will purchase more.

I sray liberally my RA-1's and then wipe off with a terry cloth.

Leaves a very similar dark matte finish like in the initial pics. I hate when the tires are shinier than the paint.

I've been using allot of this dressing lately, I find that keeping the glass and wheels and tires clean give the car the appearance of being just washed.

I still preffer the 1Z on tires but at $15 with shipping its not that much better than the Michelin.

As far as the brake dust repellent, the quantity or number of applications didn't convince me to buy it again. It made cleaning easier but so does my FK 425 and FX100 which is a far far cheaper route.

I may give it a shot and use it just on the inside/barrel of the weel. That's a real hassle lately.

how long have you found the tire shine to last for? i agree with you, i like a matte finish, i have been using the meguiars hot shine spray and foam, and i think it works great for just before a car show. The thing is i need something with some durability.

Durability not so good. If it doesn't rain Maybe 4 days. But it only takes 1 minutes to spray all four tires and wipe off with the tire rag I've dedicated to this. I don't mess with these tire sponges anymore. I've gotten in the habit of doing this often along with cleaning the glass with 425.

Makes a big difference.

sorry to revive an old thread, but tonight at big lots in noticed they had a 24oz bottle of the michelin 3n1 tire shine for $3...

These Michelin tire products may have been discontinued. AZ no longer sells them. I took the time to write to the producer and never recd a reply. Disappointing, I liked the brake dust repellant.

I'll have to check at the Pep Boys here for the repellant. The wheels on my car get noticably brake dusty after driving just one day. Seems to be a Mercedes trademark.

I just went to Big Lots today and they had the brake bust repellent as well as the wheel cleaner. Also had some of the newly discontinued Meguiar's stuff (wheel cleaner, aerosol quik detailer, and NXT tire cleaner).

CRAZYNESS!!! I was just in BigLots Saturday and picked up a can of the Brake Dust repellant for $3.00

Figured I'd try it out and read the reviews later...kicking myself for not getting some more now.
