Oh, nice. I wonder who is carrying them near me (in the states). Stevet, which CT over there? :)

Thanks for the good review :)

I am in Hamilton. The products are in a couple of the Canadian Tire stores here.

Keep us updated on how long you think the sealant lasts. It will be interesting....right now I use AIO and Zaino Z2 to seal my wheels, and that has worked very well for me. I think ease of wash and brake dust decrease lasts a couple of months easy. Of course I have no sufficient testing or follow up but it seems since I applied the combo over 3 months ago even with winter salt and all, the wheel clean up very nicely with regular car wash soap. I have tried NXT and even Collinite IW 845. Collinite def wins the durablity battle between it and NXT. Zaino beats them all for me, but it seems that this new wheel sealant from Michellin seems pretty good!

Great review! I'm going to pick up the tire shine i think, i really like the look. I've noticed #40 looking weird and chalky after rain as well.

hopefully the local stores will have that product

If the brake dust repellent works well and the durability turns out to be good I was thinking that it might be a good product to try in door jambs or other hard to get at areas such as some tight spots in the engine compatment. Just spray and wipe.

I haven't had too much success with some of the other spray waxes out there.

Nice write up :xyxthumbs

I'd be curious about durability compared to those of us who use AIO/SG, #20, or in my case, Collinite.

Lets see how it holds after a few washes with the NXT.

Rims look great for 80 miles a day!

I do have one comment. I would do one rear wheel now. The rears have the added problem of road spray from the front wheels...

Could have tainted your results.

Excellent point, you are right, I probably should have done one front and the left the other as a control. I will do this next time, right now all wheels are wearing the repellent.

Scott, sorry man, I didn't know they still made dial up. ;) :D

Adamah, sorry this is as good as it gets. :)

FWIW, guys I don't think this product was desingned to be real durable, more of a product to be applied with a weekly wash. I don't know for sure, but I plan to keep using AIO/#20(maybe #21 now that I have that) as a "base" bi-monthly, then using the MBDR weekly.

GREENVILLE, SC â€â€ On Wednesday, tire manufacturer Michelin announced the release of a new tire-care program and product for car-care professionals, according to a statement issued by the company.

Debuting on retail shelves this month, Michelin's 3-Step Wheel & Tire Care Program will target retail customers and detailers for the car-care industry. The products include a wheel and tire cleaner, tire shine and brake dust repellent, the company reported.

To engineer and manufacture the new product line, Michelin turned to Fernandina Beach, FL-based Petroferm Inc., an environmentally-conscious, specialty chemical manufacturer, the release noted.

"Until now, we did not recommend using these types of products because we weren't totally comfortable about their effects on tires or the environment," Chris Dawes, managing director for Michelin Lifestyle Limited, said in the release. "We therefore decided to develop our own range, working with Petroferm."

According to Michelin, the new tire cleaners are unlike many other cleaners because they are acid-free, and safer for tire surfaces. The cleaners use a neutral pH polymeric technology to help prevent corrosion.

Michelin currently services a number of markets on a global scale, the release said.

Interesting from info from Professional Car Wash Association.

part of the statement in the above post, answered my question. i went to three different autozones and couldn't find it!:(

I was at PepBoy's today in Hamden, CT. They have the Tire Shine there, but didn't see the brake dust repellent.

Sounds interesting, I might have to try these products. I wonder if the dust repelent spray would remove a sealant? or just coat over it and add an extra layer of protection?

anyone know this? :nixweiss

Nice review. :up

Good question. I would like to know that too. I've applied AIO + SGx1 to my rims and I don't want to loose the SG.

just got back from autozone and saw all three michelin products. i got the brake dust repellent ($5.99) and the 3in1 tire shine ($6.99). i would of bought the wheel cleaner, but i'm happy with the eagle one a2z. now i can't wait for the rain to clear out so i can try them! :bigups

HI guys, sorry been out of the loop for a bit.....

From what I can tell (initially anyways), I don't think that the BDR could remove a sealant. It specifically states in the directions to apply it to a clean wheel. I would think that if there were any cleaners in it, this would not be necessary. :nixweiss

just used the 3in1 tire dressing with eagle one tire swipe (sorry no pics, don't have digi cam) and it leaves a nice thin shine/sheen with no sling (drove around 40+ miles). a little does go along way as epbcivicsi stated. looks like i've found one of my favorite tire dressings! :xyxthumbs
