If you were forced to use OTC products...

Hi, There's nothing wrong with many OTC products, many are great quality, just have

to know what you are looking for. In this order I would go : Mother's, Meguiar's, &

DuraGloss, if you can find it locally, I can't. DuraGloss online does only charge a single shipping fee per order :lock:

I WILL NOT discuss MEGUIRES products as i know about how there inside works and i was banned for speaking the truth about there products that they dont want consumers to know.

Rude? I think you called someone an a$$hole about 6 or 7 times in two posts. I have a feeling you're not going to be around much longer.

i was explaining myself, and you posting "Wow, very mature" , means what?... :sosad

so explain.....what was sooo mature? an explaination? :sign

and nor did YOU ever answer this....

triDoN,

Yes, an absolutely high-quality reply. Just don't be surprised when you find yourself in a similar situation here too. You won't be missed.

By the way when you differentiate classic typo errors vs. spelling errors, you will find different causes; one being a physical flaw in the typing (aka not hitting the key "L" with the appropriate force), while the other is based on ignorance and/or a manifestation of some form of educational "under-development". Which do you think more embarrassing? And no, you don't have to answer. Oh, and be mindful that Ye Olde English is only my third language...

im not bickering back and forth like this on an open forum any more, like all of you school girls are.

i am not adding anymore to this topic as i reply'd to the original poster my opinions

P.S. bence, PM sent your way.

peace.

Nothing was mature about your post. It was pure sarcasm. This is a great forum where people help each other out and discuss products without the negativity you bring. You've obviously, by your own admission been banned from at least one other forum. Don't be surprised if the same actions are taken here.

i dont force myself to use "OTC" products, i choose to use them because i dont oodles of money to use expensive professional products. i think my mothers products do an excellent job

in my opinion, this thread seems that if you dont use professional products you're looked down on

Some OTC products I use:

  • Megs NXT Soap

    Megs Foam Applicators

    Wal-Mart WW's

    Wal-Mart Glass Cloths

    No-Touch Wheel Dressing (wheel wells)

    Tarminator

    Turtle Wax Platinum Wheel Cleaner

Mothers Cali Gold Clay Bar system

Various different brushes for wheels, crevices, etc...

    and of course a 4HP Shop-Vac

I'm sure I'm missing a few items, but thats the major stuff I use on pretty much every detail.

BTW, guys this is a CAR forum, have some respect for people that come here for answers and to discuss CAR CARE. :o

:nixweiss

the title of the thread is indeed "If you were forced to use OTC products..." ...so rather than argue or post personal attacks when discussing bottles of goo that we put on cars to make them clean and pretty...i will say this:

--VROOM products at your local Target stores. decent microfiber towels

--Eagle One wheel/tire cleaner and tire shine

--Meg's #83 DACP (i haven't used any of their other polishes)

--Meg's Quick Detail spray

--Duragloss products (pretty much all of them...good stuff)

how do people get so upset about things like car care products?

Sorry you're getting that impression (and I wonder if my post about going to autobody/paint supply places might've contributed to that :o ).

IMO (and I sure hope I'm right about this) the only people who get looked down on around here are those who act like jerks in one way or another. If you're getting the results you want from the stuff you use then you're doing A-OK in my book :xyxthumbs

I just purchased Meg's #16 OTC, I think it's great. I use tons of OTC, but when I get serious about results, I use some botique products like Klasse, Zaino or Optimum.
