I just ordered Vintage

Mike....

Exhaust all of your efforts. See what the explanation from Brett as to why you haven't received your wax. You need to find out if it is actually in customs.

Next, if the whereabouts of the wax cannot be confirmed (or if Brett cannot or will not give you a satisfactory answer), then tell Brett that unless you have an assurance as to its delivery, then you will demand a refund.

Third.......try your best not to panic or overreact. I know this is a heartfelt purchase, but as good as you can keep it strictly business (a curt expression from this point) the better your chances will be to get this issue resolved.

Fourth: The great value of purchasing with your credit card is the ability of getting your money back, so do not fear that your money is lost. Contact your credit card and alert them of the situation, and have them start an investigation if Brett cannot produce the location of the wax. The credit card company should protect your rights and interest in the event of fraud. I have had one or two good instances where my card company intervened and issued me a credit when the vendor was less than honorable. Make this step your absolute last resort.

Fifth: Keep us informed on what's happening, because I will feel bad if this turns out to be a goose chase for you. Don't overhound Brett with excessive emails, bc at some point he may stop answering you. You can write him daily, but if he thinks you are smothering him he may just cop out on you. Keep a good arms hold of him, but like I said earlier, give him an opportunity to come clean. If he doesn't then you'll know what to do.

Sixth: I don't want you to give up on Vintage or have a grudge against zymol or anyone (even though you have a right to be mad at anyone you please, especially at the guy that promised you the wax). I still feel that this is an excellent wax that is well worth the trouble you've been through. When we get this issue resolved, then you can always order direct. Just chalk this up to a learning experience. We've all been through some at one point in our travels.

You can always pm me if you need my support!

1. I will work untill I get my vintage, if it requires tones of call, ot e-mails or re-oreding. Itsnow somthing i am expecting and wantmore. it will come

2/3. Iknow to keep it busienss. All of the e-mails I have send have been profesonal. Thre hae been little to know emotion.

i think the most emotion or worry i showed was aking waht i wa suppsted to think of him to responding to me.

I know that 1 milliion e-mails will not solve it. I have send about 12 since th wax was ordered, this included before the hassel.

When I e-mailed and asked for a tracking number he said he would check and it would take a day, waited a few days thinking he just got busy. nothing, i e-mailed him again nothing. one moret ime nothing (waiting a few days before)

I then asked for an iquary and a phone call.. not a word.. ever since i asked for a numerb i have heard nothing

I have called the 1800 number a few times and it did not work, said the voice mail was not set up.

This is not the first attempt I have made. I have called about 10 times and had numerous e-mials

Fourth- I have contacted the CC, hey may not awsner me but i think he will awnser them. I did it as a last resort, it was not like it didnt come, i never contacted him and that was it.

I have made a good effort wth no avail. Im not going to wait 3 months, it should be through customs. I have had anpother oder come through that was ordered 2.5-3 weeks after vintage

fith: I will, for a few reasons. you guys have been very spportive and stuck with it this long it would be just mean if I cut you off.. I do consider you my friedn and will need the spport. Also I want people to know this as a signal about ocd. I dd not listen and look where it got me.I had good experience in the past so I though why not? i guees i just had to learn the hard way, hopefullt others dont.

six- I wont, when this is allsaid and done, if i still dont have It iwll order from zymol directly. the price has gone up and i dont have a discount code but w.ei still want it. I will ask if i can get the old price but if not i will still order, opps i hope zymols dosent read this.

And i wll be letting zymol know what has happend, not becase i want to get him in trouble, i think he has lost alot of business fromthis but becasue I think they should know. he is lowering the value of the zymol name. if i had worked hard, and put in the ffort to have someone wreck it I would want to know

ohh on a side note, when I talked to diane last she had no idea who ocd orbrett where. she said hemighthave ordered from a reseller meaning he is not a zymol reseller/ (at least thats how i took it).

*** i do not normaly reviel the content of conversations, emails, or pm's. however in this situation I belive its something that must be know. I do not want to say someone sucks and not hae info to back itup. in publicly opening this i do not mean to get anyoen it trouble, casue problems, or reviel privite info. However the turth must come out. I wont say somthing bad unless I have the facts, its only fair if i can offer those facts****

It looks like you have a good handle on it. I like your first phrase, as it makes a good testament to your determination. You will need it to get through this issue.

I will definitely take note of this vendor, and make sure that I won't purchase or recommend anyone to them if in fact he's been as crummy as you've said.

We'll get to the bottom of this in time.

awsome, i will have to give them a cal.. just out a curoisty how did you find this out? are you a business owner?

This is the kind of info that should be know to the public, but i guess that coul cost visa alot

Cdodkin is 100% on the mark on this. Although the laws could be different in Canada. Not only can they reverse the charges, if he has enough of these "chargebacks" in his merchant history, they can revoke his ability to charge credit cards.

Just call the number on the back of the card, give them the details of what has occured. They will probably send you some forms to fill out and sign, then when they get them back, they will credit your account with the disputed amount, and deduct that amount from OCD Garage's credit acceptance account.

how did he mail it, i thought i remember you saying USPS and if so isnt their tracking really bad compared to like FedEx?

i know you are mad its taking a long time, i would be worried too with such a high price item, but customs is really slow, sometimes shipping to there does take that long, maybe its taking longer cause its such a high priced item?

Yes, but it is still trackable. That is, if you *have* the tracking number.

wow. i haven't read this whole thread, but am amazed at the delay.

i have had to involve my VISA customer service in the past and have always had success. they would immediately credit my account and then go after the vendor.

When I e-mailed and asked for a tracking number he said he would check and it would take a day, waited a few days thinking he just got busy. nothing, i e-mailed him again nothing. one moret ime nothing (waiting a few days before)

IMHO, that information right there would be the end of dealing with the vendor. VISA and the BBB would be involved from that point forward (due to the $$$ involved).

an item of this magnitude should be babied the entire way by the vendor. it is unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous that you would receive no response. he should be kissing your @ss the entire time. him ignoring you only reinvorces that he dropped the ball.

honestly, if it was me, even if i received the item i would return it and give my business to another vendor.

.02

EDIT: as an example...the first time i ordered a Zaino kit (~$110 or something), it was over a week and never showed up. i emailed the company to ask for the status and they investigated and got me answers that same day. no delays in replying. no ignoring me. ended up that UPS had damaged the box and it had leaked. Sal shipped out replacements immediately and i got them in a few days. this was for a $100 order, not $thousands$.

This is why I went Zymol direct. It may take awhile, but I know I will get it. Good luck Mike.

FWIW, chargebacks work the same in Canada as the US.

I kind of agree with Matrix, as (ok the devil's advocate) if Brett actually mailed it (honestly I think that people that try to scam over the Internet or anywhere else with the credit card are real morons....some are very slick and get away with it, but are morons all the same) then it could honestly be in customs.

However, I am siding with Mike, because this Brett was less than courteous by reacting slowly and/or not at all. He should've had his sleeves all rolled up and busting his elbows to make sure that Mike would get his wax; or at the very least give him an honest explanation as to where the wax is.

Let Mike start putting some heat on his @$$ with his card company; I'll bet he'll get some good answers then!

I dont know where it is. It could e in customs. I tottaly agree, and im sure hoping it is. However i dont know. Im not going to wait 6 months before I get the ball rolling. heck maybe it will come tom. before I call the CC company.

If he was more willing to give me awsners this would not happen. I have no sent a million e-mails,i have always been polite. he has no reason to ignore me. The e-mails are not working, the phone calls arenot working so I need to find something that will. so ths is the next step. I have not called the bbb, ihave not contacted the police (which i feel i would be in a right for if its found the item was not shipped however i stillwont).

I am hoping that its in customs and this hassel will end, however like i said im not going to wait to find out. I wont be ordering from him again even if it is in customs.

I feel i deserve awsners on MY WAX, its an item i have paid for, i have spent my money on andI am getting nothing... so we will let someone who can get awsners get awsners.....

You do deserve better. It should've been here; and with no bs excuses. Politeness is now over. This will get corrected!

how can you find out if it is in customs or not?

ya i totally agree that a level of communication isnt being met by him as a business owner.

too bad, he does have some great prices on zymol though, just scared to order from him.

Aloha calgarydetail...

Please let me chime in. First, I'm sorry your order is taking so long to arrive. :(

Well, we ship to Canada quite frequently and please let me explain the different USPS shipping options which I think might be helpful. Delivery time frames below are approximations.

USPS First Class Mail International - varies but delivery time frames comparable to Priority Mail International 6 to 10 days business days

USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box (*not always the best option - the regular Priority Mail Rate Table could be less than the published Priority Mail Flat Rate Box Rate Table. Determining factors are size of box and weight) - 6 to 10 days business days

USPS Priority Mail International - 6 to 10 days business days

USPS Express Mail International - 5 days business days

The delivery time frame is actually the time it takes for a package to reach the destined international country once it is in the hands of the USPS. On the other end, it is really up to the local Customs office and local Carrier to ultimately deliver the package to the final destination "customer". There could be possible delays. Hopefully that is the case with your order.

The only method of shipment via USPS which actually supplies you a tracking number is USPS Express Mail International. The other shipping methods does not include tracking information.

For a product like the Zymol Vintage, we would have shipped it via USPS Express Mail International which requires a signature confirmation by the recipient. I don't recall seeing if your package was shipped USPS Express Mail International but the cost difference is minimal compare to the package getting lost. The difference in cost between USPS Express Mail International and USPS Priority Mail International is only $10.00 USD. Not bad to make sure a product that cost approximately $2000 USD gets to it's owner. Also, for the company like ours, it's a peace of mind knowing that our customer received his/her package.

Thank you & Aloha,

Ranney :)

Hate to tell you the obvious but this time (after you get your money back) order it DIRECTLY FROM ZYMOL!!!

I guess you have learned now that when spending that much, its worth it to spend slightly more to get it from a reliable source.

But I really do feel sorry for you :aww: , if I were you, I would be calling this guy every day until he could give me proof that he shipped it. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he still has it considering he has not proven to you that he has shipped it.

Just trying to imagine the excitement you must have had from ordering it, only leading up to these problems... Wow you must be mad!

haha yes lesson learned, and yes i will order frmo zymol direct. I thought I would give someone else a chance and he screwed it up.. ohh well thats life

Thanks for the sympathy but its not meeded. I made the mistake, and I have to deal with that. Luckly the CC company is willing to help me out

I was very excited when I ordered it yes, it was something I have wanted since I started detailing 2 years ago. I have saved through that time to buy it. And i was more then ecited to get it.

As for being mad, nope. Im not a very emoitnal person, i dont get mad very often, esp. over somehting like wax. ?Yeah i got the short end of the stick but its not something that can be remedied.

I try very hard not to let emotion get in the way of things like this, I know somepeople will think im nuts but its the way I am

I will admit i am alittle disapointed I have waited this long with no response and no wax. Its not the first nor the last time I will be disapointed about something s I will just move on and deal with the next step

Thanks for the kinda words, I am glad there are still people out there who care about others, even if its only someone over the internet...

I think we should start a "Problems with OCD Garage" thread. Has anyone ever heard of the OCD Garage guy posting here on Autopia? We *really* need to warn everyone we can to not do business with this guy.

lot of people on m3forum.net had problems with Brett at OCD...CC charged, but nothing shows, no response on emails/calls....
