Mike....
Exhaust all of your efforts. See what the explanation from Brett as to why you haven't received your wax. You need to find out if it is actually in customs.
Next, if the whereabouts of the wax cannot be confirmed (or if Brett cannot or will not give you a satisfactory answer), then tell Brett that unless you have an assurance as to its delivery, then you will demand a refund.
Third.......try your best not to panic or overreact. I know this is a heartfelt purchase, but as good as you can keep it strictly business (a curt expression from this point) the better your chances will be to get this issue resolved.
Fourth: The great value of purchasing with your credit card is the ability of getting your money back, so do not fear that your money is lost. Contact your credit card and alert them of the situation, and have them start an investigation if Brett cannot produce the location of the wax. The credit card company should protect your rights and interest in the event of fraud. I have had one or two good instances where my card company intervened and issued me a credit when the vendor was less than honorable. Make this step your absolute last resort.
Fifth: Keep us informed on what's happening, because I will feel bad if this turns out to be a goose chase for you. Don't overhound Brett with excessive emails, bc at some point he may stop answering you. You can write him daily, but if he thinks you are smothering him he may just cop out on you. Keep a good arms hold of him, but like I said earlier, give him an opportunity to come clean. If he doesn't then you'll know what to do.
Sixth: I don't want you to give up on Vintage or have a grudge against zymol or anyone (even though you have a right to be mad at anyone you please, especially at the guy that promised you the wax). I still feel that this is an excellent wax that is well worth the trouble you've been through. When we get this issue resolved, then you can always order direct. Just chalk this up to a learning experience. We've all been through some at one point in our travels.
You can always pm me if you need my support!
