It sounds as though Megs Rinseless cost more per wash and doesn't have the polymer protection and looks ONRv3 has.



If you like ONRv2, you'll be blown away by v3.

Although the direction on Meg's Rinse-less calls for 1oz per gallon on the label, there has been confirmation by Meg's that you can use it @ .5oz per gallon just like ONR on most vehicles. The 1oz per gallon is a safe number for dirty vehicles where most of us would switch to a regular wash.





I am almost to the end of my ONR v2 and plan on buying a gallon of v3. But I am also seriously considering Meg's Rinse-less because of the lack of polymers and gloss enhancers. It would help to maintain the LSP look and work better with the new coatings.

 
Sounds like Gary's stuff is a good performer, but I just did the math... $0.25/gallon of wash water vs $0.16 with ONR... eeks.

That's why you buy things in gallon sizes. Then IUDJ is only $0.25 per gallon of wash water, and only $2.70 per gallon of detail spray.



And consider that using the GDWM, you can get at least 3-4 washes out of 4 gallons of wash water if the bucket is loaded up with towels and sealed with a lid. $0.25 per wash is pretty damn good in my book.







Having said that, yes I do acknowledge that ONR is still a few cents cheaper but at the point where we're splitting only a few pennies, I stop really caring. ONR is a great product too, I just like the performance of IUDJ better.

I had originally looked at it as you have Dan.But then took into consideration what else the IUDJ can do and that's is what swayed me in the equation. IUJD is quickly becoming my got to product on rubber step bumper trim, interior vinyl trim and more. I haven't abandoned ONR but have moved IUDJ into my detailing cabinet.

You using v2 or v3? The current version blows away v2. And v2 is a great product.

I have not used v3 at all. Ran out of my v2 a while ago and never bothered to pick up the new version.
 
In regards to IUDJ, I am curious as to what the results would be if you used ONR straight as a dressing like you would with IUDJ. Just reading the description it says that it has `special polyemers`so I wonder just how different it is from ONR. I am not in any way saying that I think Garry just tweaked a current formula, but even after making his own formulation it`d still have to be somewhat close to the other offerings no?

Don't forget to give it a final buff with a soft MF at the end. The difference is noticeable...you'll be cheating yourself if you don't. :cool1:

Just to set the record straight, we manufacture all the chemical products we offer at our Memphis plant. The only products that we do not manufacture in house are accessories such as buffing pads, microfiber towels, backing plates, and the like. I just wanted to set the record straight since I might have mentioned the latter when we met at Detailfest which seems to have caused some confusion. As far as plant visits, we have had many forum members both local members and those visiting Memphis who have stopped by and toured our plant. Could you explain this final buff a little more? First time I'm hearing about it and I'm intrigued.

Sure. ONR leaves polymers behind after wiping dry. Even while drying some moisture is left behind which quickly evaporates. This moisture contains polymers which leave a very subtle residue behind. (You can see this on glass that has been ONR'd but not final buffed.) Buffing with a dry fluffy MF removes this slight residue and creates a clarity, gloss and depth that is unmatched by any rinseless wash I've used. Esp, V3...it's simply amazing after a dry buff.



On a panel-by-panel basis the difference is subtle. On a whole car it's quite dramatic.



Try it...do a whole car ONR wash and stand back and look at the gloss and clarity closely.



Then go back and do a gentle dry buff with a soft fluffy MF (don't evaluate the panels too closely while doing...you want to get the whole effect at once.)



Once finished walk away from the car without looking back. Then when you get the correct distance turn around and look at your vehicle again. I'm certain you'll note a dramatic difference in clarity and gloss. :up
