I wish someone would just throw out who makes who so we can stop speculating.

For what it's worth, I love ONR V3, but all I have used is that and ONR V1

its just not that easy, it would be bad for both parties the manufactuer and the relabler.

The discussions gets more complicated when you have CG and 3D both saying they make the products for various brands. I do not doubt it. I am sure Four Star Products has been behind the success of some "relabelers".

You can also have something like this. David G at Optimum has said he does not physically manufacturer his very custom forumulas so I could expect the company that does make them say "we make products for others". Some of it comes across as "why buy from one of my customers when you can buy from me" which is the situation these not very specific marketing claims are made.

I guess it is the word relabelers that seems disingenuous since many of the "relabelers" likely make some tweaks, do a lot more marketing (like web sites, in house talent to promote sales, etc) and then someone wants to come behind and try to benefit for all the demand generation they are doing. Without these resellers, these manufacturers may not be nearly as successful.

I have only tried ONR. I like trying different things, but this is one that I am really happy with and have no intention of switching....I guess on this one, I am going by the adage "If it isn't broke, don't fix it"

Someone needs to just step up and let it out about who relabels instead of always saying you know but can't say. Yes, you can say, so just say it already. If business gets hurt, well that's called business.

And probably jeapordize exisiting relationships already established. I certainly (from a relabeler's standpoint) wouldn't want to do business with a manufacturer who discloses this confidentail info with the public.

Remember, there's only a couple of manufacturers that pour wax in the country, but dozens of offerings. I know for a fact that many companies go the manufacturer and tell them to alter the color, fragrance and container & that is the only thing that makes it different. Yet I see so many people argue and praise how different they really are??

Also, do really think that a manufacturer that also retails their line would offer a "better" product to someone they make products for? Different yes, but maybe not superior. It's not like the client is the one coming up with the formula. They're just going with the best option offered to them per their specs.

It very easy to create a wax. I should show how its done. lol Relabeling stuff is common. Its really quite simple. Just ask any company if you can tore there manufactuering plant. It really is that simple. The ones who do have them will easily show them to ya, and as far as the others well. You get my point.

I did. I asked Duragloss if I could tour their plant. They said no citing confidentiality. I do know the owners are chemists but does not mean they physically blend every single product they sell in their personal factory. They could be like Optimum. We all know whose products are sometimes called relabeled Duragloss products.

So is this just a re-labeled wax as well?!?!? :soscared: :boink:

Troy from my understanding Donnie the owner of Migliore hand makes all his Carnuba's. Acarnuba wax isn't hard to make at all.

Sorry Barry, I couldn't resist with all the relabel talk. I didn't mean anything by it....

As similar as some of the products are, no one has ever presented me with a reason to believe otherwise.... sorry to those offended by the thought.

Just scanning through quickly it appears as ONR is the current favorite.

I am surprised more aren't using the new Meg's Rinse-less.

Noting that I haven't tried the newest version of ONR yet, but that I was a huge fan of the first two versions.....IUDJ is currently my favorite. The cleaning power, incredible dilution rate, multitude of uses, and to be honest, also the passion of the man responsible, moves it to the top of my list.

DP Rinseless was meh, only got it because it was BOGO and no desire to try it again.

Meg's Rinseless is great if you want clean and "polymer-free", I guess. Richard Wright's method of adding it to an IPA mix makes a great, non streaking paint cleaner that should be safe to use prior to applying most coatings.
