I read a post a long long time ago in a thread far far away in which people were debating which looks better s100 or Zaino. Personally I think I am a born again Zaino user. But to put it into perspective my girlfriend put it into words last night that I thought summed it up.

Descriptions of the two are glass and gloss. I really liked that. Zaino gives you the gloss affect and s100 has a gloss to it. The s100 (at least on lighter cars) seems a fake gloss that looks IMO like it is going to rub off where as Zaino brings out the true paint more. Just my thought for the day. I just got Klasse and I am going to try it this weekend and compare if any one is interested.

Cheers!

I would be interested in a comparison with those three products, especially on a light color. Iam currently a Zanio user on a 96 Vette that is Sebring Silver. Always

looking for something better.:wavey

I think it really varies depending on color. At one point I had S100, Pinnacle Paste Glaz, Souveran, Einszett Glanz Wax, Zaino topped with S100 and just straight Zaino all on my Lincoln (silver).

After looking them all over for a week, I liked just regular Z the best. The caranuba looked nice, but it was just lacking something that Z had. It didn't have the special "pop". I love Z's ultra reflectivity on light colors. On darker colors S100 is more of a reflective caranuba rather than super deep, sort of like Z with a touch of depth added in so it looks nice on dark vehicles.

I like S100, but as a topper only. The durability of S100 leaves a lot to be desired IMO. It lasted maybe 2 weeks here in Cincy. For garage queens or cars that you can wax every week or two S100 is a nice product. For outside, "daily driver", cars I'd go with Z. Being honest each product has thier pro's and con's, I like then both but only in certian situations. Personally, I like good durability because I don't like having to rewax all the time. So, for that reason I typically stick with Zaino. :up

AIO - UPP - S100 - any day.

Zaino is just too expensive and too much fooling around to end up with that horrible plastic finish.

I've yet to see a vehicle where EVERY swirl is removable, some HAVE to be filled and Zaino doesnt do it.

The number of threads where people have used Zaino and theyve run into problems because they used too much/too little or left it on too long/not long enough .. etc etc etc.

The list is endless.

I'll stick with my choice thnx.

The same thing can be said for Platinum, check the archives.

Yeah I'd say Klasse actually has the highest number of people with problems, confusion, or the dreaded "haze" (whatever shape that may take!).

Knock on wood. :D

The number of threads where people have used Zaino and loved it are almost endless as well :)

Boy you took my thoughts exactly!:up

Redcar Guy I know what you mean regarding the legion of Zaino lovers.

Count me in as one also. I just look for something to give my silver Vette that extra pop or sparkle. True the Zanio layers on it would satisfy darn near anyone but I just would like it alittle brighter.

This is weird too. I used Zaino on my daily driver Blazer that is dark cherry in color. For the heck of it I dawned, clayed, and layered on two coats of Liquid Glass I had laying around. It looked real gooood. I swear I couldn't see a difference between it with the Zaino or Liquid Glass.

I think both have their place. That's why I use both :)

My Accord has 3 coats of Z2, Meguiar's Show Car Glaze, and s100 as a topper. I think the Zaino give the car a really slick hard look, and the glaze and s100 cover up any flaws and make the car look a little wet. This is also cool because I can keep it waxed, and then every 3 months or so, I can strip it off and reapply the Zaino.

If I miss a few weeks, or get tired of s100, I still have that Zaino protection and shine beneath it :)

Maybe for the first 15 minutes after you buff it, then the Zaino dust magnet goes to work and you have to wipe it down every couple hours. That being said, what I use it for is the butter smooth finish and decent lasting protection.

These are common misconceptions many people have. Point by point heres the skinny:

1. Properly applied Zaino is extremely affordable. I have gotten so many coats from a single jar I've lost count.

2. No Polymers fill swirls, UUP, Klasse, Bf, none of them. One should NEVER attempt to fill a swirl prior to Zaino. They should be removed completely. Fillers don't jive with Zaino.

3A. ^The number of threads sharing first time problems is numerous.

3B. The number of threads praising Zaino for it's gloss and duability are endless.

Simply stated Zaino is the undisputed king of shine, durability and slickness. Nothing comes close.

I have been fighting the urge to try Zaino for some time. I have always been a die hard Carnauba user. I had pretty much decided I was going to stick with Carnauba and go with S100. I wanted to do a comparison though just to be sure for myself tonight. I put Zaino (Z5 and Z2) on half my hood and S100 (SEC and Paste Wax) on the other half. I left the middle section bare (whole hood has been gone over with DACP several times with the PC).

I was really impressed with the ease of use with both S100 SEC and S100 Paste Wax. Went on and came off without any effort whatsoever. I have to say though I wasn't impressed with the look. It really was only marginally better than the bare paint.

On the other half of the hood I applied a few coats of Z5/ZFX and so far tonight I have applied 2 coats of Z2/ZFX. Much clearer difference between the bare paint and the Zaino look.

I didn't anticipate that I would like the look of Zaino over any Carnauba. I am thinking about trying out my old combo of Meguiars #7 and #26 on the middle section of the hood just for another comparison.

So far though it looks like I am going to be joining the ranks of those addicted to Zaino :) I am hoping to finish the car this weekend and will post more details and pics then.

There is NO best. It all comes down to personal preference and what you are looking for.

It depends on how serious the swirls are that we're talking about, but I noticed pretty decent filling with Klasse SG on light swirls. I should really get around to uploading a couple pics I have of this....

As a Zaino user who is not a zealot, let me say the shine is NOT better than any other properly applied product, be it a polymer or carnuba. Durability is also on par with any other polymer. The slickness IS the best I've ever felt, its butter smooth.
