Contradiction is a wonderful thing.

I can tell from the spelling mistakes your probably typing away like a monkey on crack in your mad Zaino fever.

Basically I wont use Zaino because I like to CHOOSE what other products I use. (And I dont mean QD's and wash soap ..... I mean IMPORTANT products like compounds and glazes). I don't wanna be railroaded into buying yet ANOTHER bottle of something that other products already contain at no extra cost.

(If house paint took 2 days to dry would YOU buy a small bottle of 'accelerator' at twice the cost of the paint ??)

They can make a profit if they like .. but so do the folks over at 'AkrylicWerks'.

If you read this forum much you'll get my drift.

Anyways.

I HAVE seen the plasticky shine Zaino gives on a sunburst red car and to be honest with all the buggering about (and $$) involved to achieve that shine I'll leave it on the shelf thanks.

One day some people will realise theres more out there thats cheaper and looks better.

Till then i guess you best get yer wallet out.

Can we finish this thread now ?

Its getting nowhere and I don't want my Mr Hyde to come out.

I was just defending my points as well as pointing out your misunderstandings of my previous post, which I did succesfully. The spelling mistakes are because I can't spell, LOL

:nono :nono

As to the debate of Zaino Vs. S100 it really has to do with what you are looking to achieve. Wax and polys are totally different animals. S100 or P21S will give a deep wet look. It is very easy to apply. I recommend GEPC first it really produces a deep, dark shine.

Zaino takes some doing. Most people use to much the first time and the results suffer. This is why people like smoker hate it so much. They can't find fault in thier technique so they blame the product, typical. However once mastered, the results are stunning. It arguably outlasts, and out shines everything else on the market. Klasse is also a good choice of SG and as 4dSC has suggested fills minor swirls too. You might look at BF too.

I use P21S and Souveran on my garage beasts. I use Zaino on my daily driver. They all are great products in thier own rights.

Hahahahaaaaaaaaaa.

I detail for a living.

If my 'technique was bad', don't ya think I would be starving by now ?

You seem to have missed the 3 main reasons I dont like Zaino (I'll go over them AGAIN just for you!)

1) I don't like being railroaded into using ONE system. Different colour vehicles benefit from having different products used on them, I like to be able to choose.

2) Zaino takes WAY too long and doesnt hide anything I cant remove by compounding. If I used it on customers cars it would not be financially viable, therefore again I wont touch the stuff.

3) After all that time and expense I just DONT like the type of shine it gives. Thats just my opinion, but one I'm entitled to.

I hope thats clear enough for you.

I'm afraid your just going to have to face the fact that the whole world doesnt think Zaino Is King.

Sorry.

How quickly they turn ugly.....

I think you have missed my point. My point was never to bash you. I defended my posistion and opinions about Zaino. I did not call you a "cracked out monkey who can't spell". I stayed away from such personel attacks which are completely uncalled for, especially here. I simply stated my feeling and you jumped all over me. What was I supposed to do, sit here and say "OK, your right, Zaino is a vast right winged conspiracy to rule the world?"JEEEZ! I am also entitled to my opinion and you seem to think I meant you verbal harm I did not. You stupped to that not me.

You made your point very clear why you don't like Zaino, am I not entitled to disagree? Many pro detailers made the same mistakes the first time they used it, you wouldn't be the first to use bad technique, the first time, with relation to Zaino. Zaino is tricky at best to apply. I further did not say that Zaino is the only product I like. So please lets let this die now. The guys are right, this "bashing is better left for grade schoolers. Lets keep to the topic at hand......

Smoker,

I'm not going to put up with personal attacks on people. Your opinion does not give you the right to call others names. I suggest you review our rules for posting.

Great debate here. The info is incredible! Please, Mr. Red Car Guy and Mr. Jengerbreadman, may we have a debate here? No one is flaming anyone and sometimes debates do get heated, so please just let us debate.

Thank you

Well I agree it is a good debate until the personal attacks came into play. Sometimes I feel certain people are too quick to jump out and play forum police. But it is warrented here. I totally agree with what BJ and ShowroomLincoln stated

Your last statement, as people have noted, is just ludicrous.

Just curious, who has noted this?? I have found some support for my statements but not yours. especially that one, hmmmmmmmmmm

Several people, including myself, noted that your statement was a tad...off:nixweiss

If you read back up through all of your bickering you might see these.

You are right, I stand corrected. I did however clarify, in a later post that Zaino is my favorite not everyones, yes?

Of course not. I did not say you were a bad detailer. Again you are putting words in my sentences.

Derek Jeter is argueably the best shortstop in baseball. Along with Garciapara, Arod and Tejada they probably feild in the 10's of thousands of balls each season. None of them is so good that they catch every one! They miss a few here and there. Overall the field around .998 which is remarkable in it's own right.

If they can miss a few due to a poorly executed technique, don't you think you could have applied Zaino incorrectly?

Have you ever even tried to apply Zaino? If so, what color was the car? What was the result?

Oh My God, please tell me you have at least tried it. I would hate to think you might be speaking of something you have NO experience with and consequently be unqualified to comment on.

I am beggining to think this may be the case.

:argue :argue :argue

Until we meet again.............:nixweiss

Wow is there some sort of time warp in here ??

Your reply is about 18 posts too late.

I'm standing by the admins warning here and letting the subject die.

I'll never use Zaino based on my experience and opinion.

You stick with it, be a happy chappy , I'll use what I choose.

I've frequented these boards for a while now and sadly this is the first time someones tried to ram their way of doing things down my throat.

I (and my customers) are more than happy with the way I do things, thats all I want.

Topic Over.

Well, I think that just about wraps it up for this thread. Since "letting it die" seems to be an unknown phrase for most of us I'll just do us all a favor and shut it down. Good debate is good for the blood, but when it gets personal it becomes bad for the blood pressure.
