What's your favorite car wash product?

Pinnacle, GC, EO, Mother's

I sometimes add a half capful of AIO in the wash. I end up with a sparkly car that feels smooth. Seems to rejuvenate the SG on top.

All 3 of my favorite clean well, rinse excellent, great suds, and have excellent lubricity

Zaino Z7 also adds protection and gloss

1Z Perls also adds protection and excellent gloss

Meg NXT shampoo - sheets (great for washing in direct midday sun) and can't beat the cost.

$ for $, the Griot's shampoo in the gallon size is the best value out there. It's an excellent wash.

If cost is no object, the 1Z Glanz Exclusiv Shampoo and Sonax Gloss Shampoo are 1st class.

YMMV depending upon local water conditions.

Quick and Easy Wash (QEW)

When I do a conventional wash, I use either Kit Carnauba or NXT, whichever is on sale. I like both equally.

you ever have a problem with KIT leaving wax in cracks and sometimes on plastic?

I used to use it, but I stopped for that reason

The Kit carnauba car wash soap?

No, it won't leave wax in cracks and trim. You must have the wash confused with the wax.

This will probably sound like more of a flame than I intend, but everyone who uses Meg's Gold Class oughta try Griot's Car Wash. It costs about three times as much ($30/gallon plus shipping, but that's still a lot less than the "boutique" washes), but the increased lubricity is just amazing and it's still very easy on LSPs. I tried the GC after all the positive reviews here, and I was just :scared :sosad I honestly don't know how anybody could wash a (truly) dirty car with that stuff without inducing some micromarring. I tried it a few times on the Volvo and then gave it away (and then I polished out all the micromarring). It just didn't harmlessly float the dirt away the way my preferred shampoos do (if you like Meg's stuff, their #62 is, IMO, a lot better).

Again, that probably sounds like a nasty-slam of the GC and a plug for the Griot's, which I guess it sorta is...but it would be pretty hard to exaggerate how different I found the two products. I honestly wonder if all the "marring is inevitable" stuff comes from simply using the wrong wash :nixweiss

I agree with Accumulator,

Based on positive reviews here, I tried EO Wet.A gallon's worth costs about the same as the GC. It is impressively slick! This is now my current OTC wash of choice :xyxthumbs

Accum, I use GC all the time on my black car, but i haven't experienced any marring. I use a natural sea sponge to wash and the Big Blue to dry. To me GC is super lubricated and if anything maybe a little much. Possibly i haven't tried enough shampoos, but i'm very happy with GC.

No flame taken. :)
