What vehicle are you thinkng about buying and why?

I've been trying to get on the list for a GT-R with no luck. That's about all I'm interested in right now unless I could find a pretty mint 996 turbo to grab.
 
I'm looking to buy a black Z06 and pull a small black enclosed detailing trailer behind it. I'm getting sick of packing my car's trunk for weekend work.

I like the Audi R8 looks, but after driving one, the steering feels too numb and not as true as a Porsche steering. R8 does handle very well, but a bit squeemish in the corners and brakes are touchy. Sure looks really nice though!



Then, for the best bang for the buck, the new GT-R is the way to go for a serious sports car that can out lap a Turbo Porsche! Very serious car for a whole lot less $$.



Also, I need a new foul weather car. Need a small SUV or wagon, not sure yet on what.

I haven't even considered Audi's for years. They used to be notorious for mechanical problems. Has that changed? And I don't think you can ever go wrong with a Porsche (unless you buy a used one already with problems of course)

You'll have to search the entire country for this. It's very limited, but if serious, it's not too hard.



Also, be aware some dealers are going to tack on a premium for this car due to limited supply and the big demand.

I think our next car will be a slightly used Lexus ES. Yeah, I know it's just a glorified Camry, but my wife and I really like them.



We are pretty frugal when it comes to cars. We have an '06 Honda Element with 15K miles (paid for), an '02 Hyundai Elantra with 105K miles (paid for), and an '08 Mitsubishi Lancer with 5K miles that we have a small loan on, because we got such a great interest rate.



We were talking the other day, we get 24/27mpg with the Element (4wd), 30/35mpg with the Elantra, and 29/33mpg with the Lancer - so we are lucky. We have only put 15K on the Element in the past 3 years, as it only gets driven to detailing jobs (I can fit ALL my gear in there), on vacations, and to pull the utility trailer for household chores.

I'm in Canuckistan; it's even more difficult. I've spoken with a few dealers, they all want ungodly deposits and still can't guarantee a production number. I have one client on the list, so we'll see. I'm kind of half hearted about it to be honest, I've had my heart set on on a 996 turbo for a long time.
 
I hope I can find a 2008 Infiniti G37S next year, but I guess I will have to find a job first as I just lost mine after 12 yrs .

Dude, sorry to hear. BTW where are you (if you want to say). I'm in Chemainus right now. Not sure we're going to stay here though. Might go back to Vic or on up to Parksville. I've got accounts from Vic all the way up to Campbell River.
 
The upcoming Mazda 6 looks really good to me, although I'm going to wait for the MazdaSpeed version to come out first. Other than that, a Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Spec. B or the next-gen Acura TL.
 
I'm currently looking at Mazda3's since I plan on leaving my current job soon that provides me with a company car. I owned a 2006 Mazda3 Grand Touring and loved it! For 21 grand, you can't get much more "luxury" in a similarly priced car. Heated leather seats, moofroof, Xenons...and now the 2008.5's have slight modifications such as power drivers seats, white gauges, different interior trim, LED taillights (available since 07). Mine still returned decent mileage (around 26-32), had decent pep, and despite CR or any others information about below average reliability, performed flawlessly. The only problems I had, which were random, was a bad TPMS sensor and a faulty gauge cluster. When I get my Crystal White Pearl MZ3 GT, I'll be posting it up :)



I'm also looking at a Goldwing...I miss my 02 Telefonica and the wife won't let me get another crotch rocket, but agreed to let me (us) get a touring bike so she can ride comfortably...
 
I'm looking at the Lexus LS460L a slightly used 2008 in or around 2010 late 2009 if money is right; I just can't wait to sit in those seats with the Mark Levinson radio playing.
 
I am looking at trading in my truck and getting an Audi A4 S-Line with the Titanium package. Looks so sweet!
 
For several years I thought I would replace my GTI with a E46 330, when the GTI hits 200K. Better mpg, acceleration, speed, and balance. Now I'm thinking 530. Same acceleration & speed, still better mpg and balance, but more comfort. Must be 'cause I'm 42 now, that comfort enters into the equation.
 
I'm practical and pretty boring. Currently I drive an 02 Jetta TDI 5spd and will be looking into a Jetta SportWagen diesel w/ a DSG for the additional room (and since the g/f can't drive a stick). Also makes sense to go with the Sportwagen since kids will be on the way in the next 2-3 years. Only caveat I've got with the "new" Jetta is that the seats are complete garbage compared to the heated Recaros I installed in my current Jetta.
 
i have a tdi now, had it for about a year, mileage is great but im young and want to have fun, so im hoping to buy a S2000, i wish i could afford a M3



the S2000 isnt gonna be practical since i drive 25k miles a year and im a construction worker, id buy a beater car but its the insurance that would kill me
 
Next March if all goes well we are leasing a BMW 528i would really rather get a 535i but we will see payment difference. I will be either selling my 94 Mark VIII or using it for a fun project and the 99 Accord will be my DD as the fiance would use the BMW as the family hauler. To answer the why part of the question, well I have worked for BMW for 8 years, I really like the product line, I get an awesome deal on a lease that makes it almost a no brainer.
 
Right now I have a 2006 Accord 4-Cylinder and a 2001 Olds Silhouette van. The funny thing is both are getting about the same MPG: 22-25. My wife drives the Accord during the week to shuttle the kids around and do errands. I drive the van to work and back (which is close to home) so I roll down the windows, don't turn on the air and drive conservatively.



The plan is to replace the van once the Accord is paid off in a couple of years. At that time, I am hoping that there will be more vehicles offering higher MPG or even alternate fuel sources and that I won't be paying to high a premium for one. It's depressing spending $80+ to fill up the van. Plus the factors of making the oil industry richer and reducing my carbon footprint.
 
I have an 04 Civic LX right now. When I graduate from high school in two years, I want to trade it in for a new Civic Si or a used s2000. Either car will do it for me.
