Congrats Dave. I know how much work and dedication it takes to achieve such an accomplishment. As a gym rat, I have spent 20+ years training in my earlier years and then focused on simply maintaining later on. Injuries definitely slow you down. Once again congrats:Dancing Dot:

The last few weeks of training I treaded very carefully in hopes to avoid any injury or pain... so much so that 1 week before the meet I actually missed my opening lift (365) twice in a row because I wouldnt drive my legs enough fearing my lower back would cave, again.

During the meet however I realized there is nothing to hold back and if I was going to pull, tear or strain something horribly... this would be the best place to do it!

Congratulations Dave, that is truely something to be proud of.

Thank you very much!

David:
As someone who competed in bodybuilding back in the day (the older I get, the better I was!), I applaud your dedication and hard work.
You do not get to where you are without either.
And I also applaud you accomplishing it drug free!
An amazing feat!!

WELL DONE!!

The great thing about this sport is that you have the option to compete drug free. When I first got the record I came off the stage and went to drink my gatorade and one of the judges stopped me and said I couldnt drink or eat anything until my pee test was finished. 2 guys followed me into the bathroom and made me pee in a cup, and I had to use a urinal, I was like really guys? lol
