Accumulator said:detaildoc & SuperBee364- Those PakShak WWs for glass were my favorites, but they eventually started leaving behind that irritating MF lint. Mine were always washed/dried separately, no chance of cross-contamination...it's like they just wore out or something :nixweiss But for cleaning winter salt-residue messes off without streaking, they were *great*. Still *are* great...sometimes I still use 'em and just try to get the lint off afterwards.
My experiments with cotton "surgical huck towels" were unmitigated disasters.
The zero-nap glass MFs work OK, but I always end up going back to my Griot's Polypropylene Glass Towels for the final passes.
On the 1Z glass polish, I can't get it to work streak-free  :nixweiss I like 1Z stuff in general, and I sure won't rule out user-error, but after making a smeary mess of numerous windows (and yeah, I was working it sufficiently, tried all sorts of variations of technique) I simply tossed it into one of the also-ran boxes.

I take window cleaning towels from TOTL and fold them over a small squeegee I bought at Walmart, spray the cleaner on the towel, pressing firmly-do the perimeter-then the bulk, then go over it with a MF and not squeege. This is the only way I don't miss spots. The squeegee allows firm, evenly applied pressure that I can't replicate by hand and allows me to get into tight places with my towels. Man, you should see the dirt that comes off this way too. My window towels never got this dirty before I started using them wrapped around the squeegee!
