What do you wipe your glass down with?

Integritydetail, thanks for the pictures! The inside of the windshield down at the bottom has always been a tough spot for me. One question... are those "surgical huck towels"?

Isn't it funny now to hear about 'back int days before paper towels folks used vinegar and newspaper to clean windows. Of course in those days newspaper (after it was read) could be used for fire startin, fish wrappin, and okay, windows. An vinegar is acidic and on hand so it could be used in place of some fancy cleaner...

(Newspaper is a poor choice nowadays because of environmentally friendly vegetable dyes that readily bleed away...onto your glass!)

I quite like Stoner's invisible glass and I'll use paper towels on the road but prefer a regular of MF towel when doing a detail. And don't forget to roll them windows down an inch or two to get the hidden part. Oh yeah and lets not forget some treatment like RainX or Aquapel at least for the windshield... This past week-end following a wash I slapped on another layer of DG AW and just for kicks, hit the side and rear glass with AW as well. Why I can see myself in that rear tinted glass <sheesh, I need to comb my hair and lose weight!>

clean my exterior glass prior to a car wash with a medicore, linty MF and some stoners. I think wash the car after which I qd the glass with a higher quality MF and apply AW. Seems to work fine for me...

Are you guys serious, you use AquaWax on your glass? I never considered using that, as I was sure it would create streaking.

AquaWax is great on windows...just don't use it on the inside if tinted. Rain just beads and flies right off when driving--no wipers needed unless its a monsoon.

Also have used DG 521, FK425, and QuikShine with nice results. Leaves glass very smooth--and no streaks. Hint; spray onto MF and not directly on glass.

For the outside I use 50/50 mix of IPA & distilled water. Then I use Aquawax or FK425 (whichever one I'm using on the paint on that particular day) On the inside, I use Surf CityClearly Better window cleaner. I use the polishing cloth by Viking (orangish/yellow) that has just about 0 nap. Works perfect - has never left any lint.

You guys are all using your LSP on the exterior glass too, right?

SuperBee364,

Yeah, it's "normally" either AW or FK425 for me. Really makes the rain bead. I also use it on the headlight lenses as well.

I use cheap microfibers from Autozone and Stoner Invisible glass. Then I use a foam applicator and polish with Poorboys SSR1. Glass looks crystal clear and the water beads like Rain-X.
