What do you DRY your vehicles with?

So I have a question for the masses what do you use to dry your vehicles with? I have a CG wooly mammoth I like but I wanted to see if there were better out there. Does anyone not use some form of microfiber, if so what are the benefits in doing so?

I just use Waffle Weaves(Meguiars) and DP Turbo Air Dryer(on occasion) . Need to upgrade towels, really want some of those Griots ones.

If I had the money (I am a college student) here would be my choices:

1) 30 gal air compressor
2) One of the Air Force Master Blaster things
3) Electric Leaf Blower
4) Premium WW and a drying aid (Some brand of QD)

The benefits of the first three methods, well, they are touch-less = less chance of swirl making.

My methods are #3 and #4, depending on time.

I have recently started using the Rag Company`s Platinum Pluffle Premuim Hybrid weave drying towels and they are very good. I`ve always preferred the waffle weave towels for drying, but they have definitely improved upon a normal waffle weave with these. Very clean wipe with quicker wicking into the fabric

DI water mostly.

But, I use a couple different things on occasion..

1. Master Blaster: I never use this. But it`s too bad azz for me to trade/sell.

2. Metro Sidekick: I use this for all sorts of stuff all the time. Perfect product.

3. Cobra Supreme Guzzlers : Many years, old still works well.

4. Sonax "Dur Wunder" old style waffle weaves: Many years old, still works well.

5. Microfiber Tech waffle weaves (many): work well, same as NEW Sonax waffle weaves

6. Pluffles from Rag Company: used last night for the first time. Very good towels. Seem to hold a lot more water than thin waffle weaves.

I use my TowelPros WW towels after maintenance washes.

Also use a:
MB Sidekick (before polishing to find hiding water)
MB Revolution (the swivel wheel model) agree w/ swanicyouth

Every so often I pull out my Absorber towel. I drag them gently across the paint to dry .
I have been using them since the early 90s.
Anyone else use them?

If you`re looking for a recommendation on a drying towel, then look no further. Spend the money and buy a Griots PFM drying towel. I just picked one up during an Autogeek sale, and it is by far the best drying towel I own, or have ever owned. It is one of the few products I`ve purchased that lives up to it`s ads.

As a side note, to get water from the little places it hides, I use an electric leaf blower with a narrow nozzle.

I just purchased a couple puffles that I used for the first time and I really like them for paint, I also have the Avalanche from trc for paint. I feel they will cause less marring if I missed a spot or if the wind kicks anything up on the paint. I have lots of waffle weaves (meguiars, dry me a river) and prefer them on glass since they seem to be less grabby. If I use waffle weaves on paint I will blot with them since I feel they are less plush. I use the metro vac n blow for wheels and crevasses. Lastly I try to flood water over the car without a nozzle on the hose and then with chemical sprayer I spray the vehicle with a dilution of a rinse less wash to provide some lubricity and then I don`t feel like I have to blot the whole car.

large Griots PFM draped across big panels, also use small PFM at times as well

then Master Air Force Blaster to clean out bumpers, etc

Poorboys DMMT for final wipedown of leftover water spots (usually with S&G or something similar as drying aid)

Lately I have been using a microfiber and try to pat or smooth it over the area. Sometimes I use a spray wax type of product and buff it out.

Cobras, DI ww`s, and CG`s chubby supras (one 16x24 dried a lg. sedan just kept ringing it out till the car was dry.)

I also have some Microfiber Madness drying plush towels and some of their waffle weaves.

The plush towel (can`t remember the name) is Snow White and just too nice to use. I`m waiting for some Lambo to pull into my driveway (yeah, right) to use it again.

Their waffle weaves work well, they are pretty hefty - but again they are snow white. I really don`t like white towels. They look dull over time. But, I only use these towels for my BMW.

I use my cordless Milwaukee blower and then a PFM or 2 of the 16" pfm towels with a drying aid like Kamakazi Overcoat. Actually (1) 16" towel will dry my truck after the rinse and blower.
