What did you do detailing wise today?

Long story short....an older gentleman asks me about clay bars. After having a fun conversation (for me anyway) I just tell him I'll clay out the area for him since he has a bad back. Go outside to see its a El Camino!!! I was so happy to do it for him...and he actually trusted me to do so. But, needless to say It came out and he was so happy. All I could say was merry xmas to me for working on that car.

Took advantage of the 55 degree morning. (Going to go down hill all day) Did the escape. Did the xterra. Put another coat of WGTS on the door gaurd mouldings/back bumper trim. CG Trim restorer on the nerf bar plastic. Tires got dollar store tire foam. WGTS still impresses me. For $2.25 even the tire foam was ok.

I did an interior clean and noticed some spot on the climate control display panel. I think some 1z Cockpit Premium overspray damaged the coating on the tinted display panel and left a couple spots. I usually try to not to spray it that much. You cannot feel any difference but visual it has been damaged....big bummer...

I decided to try out some CarPro Reset for the 1st time.

Thanks again Ray for this Sample…I will def. be purchasing more in the future!

Here's my pic of the after math. ….. love this stuff!

Sucks when mystery goobers appear. Found one on my passenger interior door handle. Below the handle. A small scuff in the plastic. Due to having a passenger for work. My interior for over 2 years old is pristine. Well lost the passenger anyway starting monday. You would be surprised what rings/coat buttons/etc can do to a interior.

I have got to try this! Or get a sample from someone here on the forum.

Nothing...temps are in the mid 40's here...brrrrr

Early this morning (6:30 AM on Monday, 05 January) the "Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field" is -14°F ambient air temperature with winds at 10-15 MPH, yielding Wind Chill Index of -33°F. Think ICE BOWL II.
Anyway the closest thing to detailing is reading this post and responding to it. That, and looking on-line at various e-stores and getting a wish-list of products and items I'd love to have or try out this spring when the weather is more conducive to that activity (which, at this rate, will be early April!!)
I envy those of you who live in warmer climates of America, BUT then the mosquitoes, cockroaches, and the like are non-existent here now. LOL. Plus it's hard to get sunburned while shoveling snow. Frostbitten extremities and facial windburns are real threats outside.

Was looking for something quick to dress the tires and protect the wheels. Decided to give Meguiar's Ultimate Black Tire Coating and Meguiar's Brake Dust Barrier another go to see if I like this combo.

Froze my butt off doing an ONR wash and Opti-Seal on this SRX late this morning. Nothing like wind chill below freezing to make me want to strangle the first person next summer that says to me "I bet you can hardly wait until it cools off".
