It was in the upper 50's and sunny so perfect weather to wash.

I washed the Dakota with Auto Finesse Lather, cleaned tires with Meguiar's APC+ and Mothers Tire and Wheel Cleaner, cleaned the glass with Sprayway, cleaned jambs with Ultima Waterless Wash, and dressed the tires with Optimum Opti-Bond.

agree bunky. it felt good to get outside today. glass is another thing i tackled today. all interior glass cleaned with stoners invisible glass.

I have some new products that I wanted to try and got the chance to do that today. My G35 needs some love so I started on it.

I washed the car with ONR wash and wax. I then used the fine grade Opti-Eraser with Meguiar's D155 last touch detailer spray diluted 1:1 with distilled water as the lubricant. I have heard people complain about the Opti-Eraser being real "grabby" and sticking to the paint. I did not have that problem at all. In fact I found the Opti-Eraser very easy to use. Maybe it's the Meguiar's detailer spray as the lubricant that allowed it to work well... I'm not sure. I did need to use a medium grade clay that I had on some trouble spots. Given the Opti-Eraser is the fine grade it worked as advertised. I then went back over the panels with the ONR wash and wax. I didn't go any further because I want to see how much protection the wash and wax left on the surface. I also want to check the car in the sunlight for any marring that might have occured during the claying process.

My next step is to try the Meguiar's DA microfiber correction system to polish the defects out of the clear coat.

I'm looking forward to trying this system.

I gave the bike a wash on Saturday, but most of these weekend was consumed by house chores and boring stuff.

I did my truck yesterday as it was getting dark. I have to redo the dressing the tires. The rubber on the Michelins are not dressing friendly. It was splotchy.

detailed a friends 09 tacoma pk on saturday with bfwd. i'm still amazed at what polishing the windshield will do for clarity and mirror reflections. griot's glass polish on one of their glass polish pads with my gg 6 da.

finally got a chance to do a proper wash/detail on the xterra this weekend. got to 65 today! topped it off with prima wax as u dry. got all that nasty winter grime off! clean for the next round of snow...

Got to play with the Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish & Black Label Diamond Paint Coating this morning on my hood and was impress with how easy it was to apply and take off. Great shine it has on it and now to see how long it protects the hood from the elements.

Worked some tonight on my new lightning. First time with a black vehicle so finding the right combo was challenging. I ended up with a cyan hydrotech pad with 105. And a black bns pad with 205. I will be opticoating the truck and it is a daily but I want the paint as perfect as I can get it.

Nothing detailing wise. weather to cold. Have a job on saturday but, a day after a snow storm & only going to be 30 degrees. Think i am going to cancel. I am working on my waist line. Doing a good job too

This is the first time in 2 months that it hasn't been raining or too cold, so I did washes on the Expedition, Jetta, and Equinox (which also needed an oil change which I did...). Both the Jetta and Equinox were completely filthy, but weather hasn't permitted washing. Also noticed at the new place I'm at now has a hot water spigot outside. Even though it was 60* out the warm water was noice...
