Today's Detail - VM, RMG, UPP on Black.

Yeah it is if it lack something compared to other sealants EX or WG. I think it is the warm carnuba type glow.



I am going to try UPP on my dads silver car over the weekend when I detail it ready to pick my parents up from the airport. It has glanz on there at the moment which is my current fave on silver but I think UPP will look good on it.

Excellent Rich - as usual.



Try a couple more layers of UPP - it'll add depth although as Scott says it tends to give a warmer glow to lighter cars.

Looks incredibly wet, will be interesting to see what happens when you apply WG on top - for me it added further reflection and clarity to the paint.

I wouldn't bother with anymore than 3 layers of UPP. I never noticed any difference between the 2nd and 3rd layer on my car - but then my car is silver/grey... may look different on black?



Have you tried the samples of 4* cleanser and shampoo yet? I love the smell of that shampoo!

Andy - I may just stick a quick coat on today as it is so easy. If I go to Rally Day at Combe tommorrow I will wash it Sunday and then top with WG. I had a feeling it was one people went for on lighter colours but I wanted something clear that does not mute the small metallic flakes, it is so clear looking it really does enhance them. EX seems to mute them.



Rob - I will keep you up to date. The UPP seemed quite close to WG in use and thickness. WG looked good on my car, so am looking forward to what happens.

Incredibly nice detail! Makes me want to get out my new bottle of RMG and try it on my Jet Black BMW. I do not have UPP so probably will use either EX or Wolfgang and top with Souveran. Thanks again for your inspiring work!

I just recevied my order yesterday and have yet to use these two products, but I guess I was mistaken when I thought VM should be applied after RMG. Is VM a mild polish similar to SSR 1 or FPII and, therefore, to be used b4 RMG?



RMG "fills" what VM doesn't take out, is that right?
