The "Truth"

Garry Dean

Garry Dean Quality!
The Makita BO6040, Megs microfiber cutting, and D300 is a defect assassinating combo!

Just saying!

More to come in a video!

D300 - I know it is very popular with a lot of people especially who only use da polishers, but create some holograms wit a rotary, than "correct" with D300. Protect it or not, wash that panel in a week and you will have one nasty looking panel. Just saying, since we are talking about the "truth" - D300 is great at hiding.:think2

Im my personal experience I would humbly disagree with you Thomas. I have found D300 to be very good at removing serious defects when used with the proper pad a technique. I also verify this by multiple IPA / Eraser wipe-downs.

Can it hide? Sure but so can almost any other compound or polish when you slather it on and let it set and don't remove the oils and such.

I know one that has no fillers.

ValuGard Cerious Compound, which is cerium oxide based.

What you see is what you get, when used correctly.

And that, gentlemen, is normally true of any professional product.

When in doubt, mist with an IPA/water mix and allow to dwell for a minute or two before wiping clean, works for the average person to find what the end result is.

I have expeirenced first hand the fillers in D300. I personally feel all products fill to a degree, I think its up to the tech to fully understand there polishing goals. An educated detailer with expeirence under there belt will notice the oils in compounds lubricating the surface. It just apart of the process. Thats why many professionals use alternative wipedown methods other then quick detailers to remove the polishing film left behind.

Garry looking foward to the video by the way! :2thumbs:

Menzerna 85rd for example didn't budge. Kept using 70% alcohol and the panel stayed mint. Took a da and some paint cleaner product with a blue finishing pad and the holograms came back.
