Seriously. A hard working father of three dies on his way home from work and a lowlife like this guy survives being ejected from a flaming 115MPH wreck. Unreal...

Sorry about the car! The perp....Grand Theft Auto, Reckless Endangerment, Evading and Resisting Arrest, Speeding, Illegal Lane Change, Failure to Use Signal...that should get him what, 3 months? Seriously, I hope the sentencing is a little stiffer and swifter out there, my cop friend was telling me the guy they caught after a rash of car thefts around here had like 6 prior arrests for car theft. He said to me "do you know how many cars he's stolen to get caught 6 times? Hundreds..."
 
All i can say is wow... If that was my car i would seriously have gone balistic... Still blows my mind how stupid people do such stupid things and never get hurt.... Hope you find a suitable replacement, sorry dude.
 
WOW, I opened the thread hoping to see some great before and afters, but was shocked. I'm so sorry to hear about your car. It amazes me how people feel the need to take away what somebody else worked so hard for.

You do have some paint worth saving, I guess. Part of the passenger door is still shiny. One of my customer's kids did that to a G35 this summer, only he wasn't a thief, just a complete idiot.



That really sucks that your car got stolen. I had my Accord broken into once and attempted on another occasion but never stolen.



I hope once that scumbag gets out of the hospital, he has a very large cellmate who becomes his husband. :lol
 
Thanks all. It's crazy how attached we get to our damn vehicles....

Of course this is my "baby", a 2001 that had only 8070 miles on it. A garage queen if you will. Ive had 2 days to think about it and i still wish that f****** slammed his head a little harder on the pavement. As goodnclean said, you or I would be dead.

Went car shopping today... lol... When I buy something,you all will be the first to know. Im going to tone it down a bit I think.
 
I looked at the new Honda Accords and then the Mazda 6. They are both kinda cool little cars I suppose..

Kinda figured you'd tone it down to a GTO or something.
 
The dealer gave me an offer of $27,400 for a new 04 GTO. So thats an option too. The only downfall is its black. Im tired of Black.
 
Im sooo sorry to hear about this man. I just recently lost my car too. Granted my suzuki was nothing compared to this beutiful machine, but look at it as a fresh start. You can get something you in a color you have never had before, or something that you thought about before but didn't want to have two cars, anything can happen. Do everything you can to make sure that guy doesn't get off easy. And put a REAAAALLLLLLYYY good pager alarm on the next one. Good luck and have fun thrashing some demo's.

not to push my choice on you, but if you are looking at those 2 cars, take a look at the passat V6. The V6 passat is very reliable. Consumer Report's top choice in the midsize category. It is more of a drivers car, like all German cars.
 
Man! That's intense........I mean what can you really say about this kinda stuff....I am sure you are pissed, as anybody would and should be but we can be thankful that no one was hurt (of course a dead car thief is a good car thief) and thank God you were not car jacked and taken along for the ride:shocked



I am sure it was your baby but cars can be replaced. Good luck on your hunt:)

Think of it as a opportunity. You will miss that fine car, but look at it as an opportunity to find a suitable replacement.

You are not being pushy at all. I thank you for the ideas,in fact the Passat was a word that my friends and I passed around yesterday. Thank You for the suggestion.
 
there was a VW that I saw anthony detailing a while back & man was it a nice looking car. It had those nice looking HID's then it had LED's underneath where the foot rests in the front and in the back seats as well very nice over all car. I also think the Audis are very nice & no orange peel ;)



If your looking at the GTO wait til next year for the 400hp one .:xyxthumbs
