This might be the gizillionth post/thread for a persons first use of S&W, but I just did my Black S60 and this stuff is freggin awesome. Drove in rain this morning and the rain dried with the usual film and water spots during the day. When I got home after 10 minutes time inside the garage with my S&W spraying and mega plush towel wiping the car looked fantastic. Did the wheels too and those turned out great also. Dressed the tires with Bold n Bright and the whole car looks freshly detailed. :dancin

I'm sure when my wife gets home she'll question the spotless shiney car and not a drop of water on the garage floor. :D

Great product Poorboy, another very satisfied customer. I'll be joining the 5 gallon club I have a feeling. :rolling
 
Life will never be the same I know mine has not. You can also QD rigth after that for a even cleaner look, I do
 
I love S&W ...
It is so nice to clean the vehicle in less time without water dripping out of the cracks the next day. The paint actually feels better after S&W too.
I follow up with my favorite Detail Spray for and even better look ... It only takes a few minutes more time and one more MF.

My neighbors raid my supply all of the time and LOVE it. They better do the right thing over the holiday's and get me another gallon or I'm going to start hiding it!

Sounds like you and the neighbors are candidates for the 5 gallon club. :naughty

Those Poorboys Mega Plush towels are 'freggin awesome' with this stuff too. :bigups

The economics on the 5 gallon club is 'freggin awesome' too. 5 gallons = 640 oz's and say I'll use an average of 3 oz.s per car or that's about 200 washes. I think the 5 gallon is about $135. That works out to about $.65 per wash. But I really like the no water, bucket and huge time savings. :bow
 
I still have a hard time believing you will not introduce marring with a spray wash but I guess I'll find out when I order a Poorboy's kit. :)

It woud be foolish to think that you would not have some marring with anything that you wipe across a car. I have a black car and have found that if you spray on S&W and let set for a bit so the it can soften / loosen the dirt up it lifts off. I also turn the towel a lot and replace if it get dirty quickly. I have noticed some very minor swrils but those are going to happen no matter what you wipe to clean the car with IMO.

This product has saved me many hours of washing
 
All these rave reviews on Poorboy's Products, and I have yet to try them! They're definitely going on my Christmas List :bigups

Any suggestions on which to try out first? Or should I get a kit?

I've been using it for 6 months now with no ill effects.
 
No one is as skeptic to products as I am, but after hearing many raves about this product I decided to purchase some. I finally got around to using it the other day and WOWWWWWWWWWW. I have not been this impressed with any product as much as I am with this one. I was scared to death when I first used it. And a lot of this product goes a long way. I MAY have used 2 oz. and it cleaned the whole car plus the wheels. The paint feels extremely slick afterwards...IMO it looked and felt way better than hand washing. It took me a total of probably 10 minutes. I bought the 32oz the first time and have only used it once but I decided to go ahead and buy another 32oz bottle during the SMP sale because I see myself using this for all my washes.

Thanks Poorboy for coming out with perhaps one of the most useful products to date.
 
I'll have to agree that S&W is the most important item in my detailing cabinet.

My truck is in a baggie for the winter so no detailing for a few months. See ya. :bye

I just ordered some of this yesterday, can't wait till it arrives! My car is parked outside all the time, so I can see myself using this a lot.
 
I used it the other day on my new Black 350Z. I was worried at first but after spraying it on, letting it sit for about 30 seconds, I was very impressed with how easy it was to use.

How much should you mist onto each panel?????

Forgive my stupid question...I am a new S and W user.... :jump

Hey, you're among friends. It's not a stupid question and even if it was, someone would try to answer it.
Personal opinion. A good sprayer that can put out a fairly fine spray is very important in good results with S&W and economical use.
I try to make sure the entire panel has some S&W on it. Thats where the good sprayer comes in. Several I tried didn't give a fine spray and the large drops tended to run off the panel rather than give an even coating. If you are doing an average size car, (Pontiac GTP), that is not covered with mud chunks, 3 to 4 ounces will be enough S&W when used with a good sprayer.
Bad sprayers seem to waste a lot of product by putting way too much in some areas and very little in others. To be sure all areas were covered, I would have way more than was needed in other areas.
FWIW, I think the ZEP bottles were some of the worst for fine spray even though they were the most expensive. I think the ones I got at Wal*Mart do the best job. :dunno

CharlesW - :confused: That's really surprising to me. I happen to love the ZEP Professional bottles (and Rubbermaid clones) with S&W. If I adjust the nozzle to its finest spray setting, I'm very happy with the resulting volume and spray pattern. Oh well. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Old Meguiar's Quik Detailer bottles produce an even finer mist, but they don't produce enough volume for my tastes. I've also been playing with one of those pressurized lawn chemical sprayers. That is going to be my sprayer of choice this winter for pre-soaking with S&W prior to a QEW wash. However, I think it puts out too much S&W for a conventional QD session (leaves some streaking).

Pats300ZX - 3 to 4 ounces is probably the maximum amount needed for a lightly dirty, average sized car. Using a high volume spray head, 1 or 2 pulls of the trigger should be enough for a door panel. With a normal spray head, 3 or 4 trigger pulls would be about right. A light and even mist pattern seems to work best for me. If it's dripping down the side, then you've sprayed too much. [BTW - I used to live in West Chester, PA too. :)]
