S&W = Simply Wonderful

Charles that is why I went out and bought some Heavy Duty Adjustable Sprayers...they are now on my site under accessories;)

How do I join the 5 gallon club?, :LOLOL , The only 5 gallon buckets I have laying around are used for washing. I plan to try S&W out very soon, I'll have to order a poorboy's kit soon.

I happen to also like Zep bottles, I find they last long, have a comfy kungfu grip, and control products very nicely with the twist of the nozzle. The nozzle adjusts from soak to the finest of mist.

CharlesW - That's really surprising to me. I happen to love the ZEP Professional bottles (and Rubbermaid clones) with S&W.
My many spray bottles have become pretty well intermingled, but I think the Zep sprayers were yellow. The yellow ones I don't care for. They also sometimes will leak a few drops from the nozzle if the bottle is not perfectly vertical. Here again, if I remember correctly, the Rubbemaid sprayers were white. Those, I like. Actually, the $1 ones from Wal*Mart were a much better buy. Cheap, fine spray, no leakage.

Old Meguiar's Quik Detailer bottles produce an even finer mist, but they don't produce enough volume for my tastes.
We agree here.:) Nice for a QD, but I didn't care for it with S&W.

All you do is order the 5 gallons of Spray and Wipe and you're automatically in the club:D

actually they are no longer pails..we ave replaced them with headpacks that can sit on a shelf...here's a picture of one..unfortunately i couldn't find the actual one we have:dunno

Yes, I have both the yellow and white versions. They seem identical to me. :dunno I also have a third sprayer that I like a lot. It is also white and came with some no-name bottles. A similar sprayer was included with an Eimann Fabrik product too. It's very close to the sprayer that Steve displayed above.

You mean like this? :D

I tried S&W on some large dirty windows in what we call the sun room. S&W Cleans very well. I sprayed some on the window and used a MF to wipe off. The windows look great! Can't wait to try this on my car.

I noticed if left without wiping S&W turns to a chalky residue thats easily wiped off? Also, From what I know S&W has no wax or silocones, but at the same time left the glass feeling slick?

Edit: I Just read the label, it doesn't say anything about silocones, does it contain silocones? Is this what made the windows feel slick?

No silicone, glass is supposed to be slick after cleaning;)

the residue would be our emulsifiers, surfactants and other cleaning ingredients.:)

Hi Steve,

I just got my 2 32oz bottles this morning. Thanks for shipping them out so quickly. I am looking forward to S&Wing my car tonight.

As a curious onlooker, how would one use it? Do you spray it on and wipe like a QD (wipe one side, and then buff?) I am in a dusty part of the country AZ, so any quick cleaner would be great! Also can you go from S & W to a full detail, or would one use the S & W as a clay lube?

Andrew

For the first time today after I S&W'ed before applying another layer of my sealant, that it left streaks and looked cloudy so I followed it up with a clean MF and it wiped right off.

Now this is the first time it has happened and also this is the first time I have S&W'ed while it being cold (Approx 40F). Is it the cold weather doing this? Its not big deal cause it wipes right off, but I would like to know. Thanks!

Probably a combination of using too much and it being cold:dunno hard to say without being there to see it.:dunno

I use a little more care with S&W than I do with regular QDs. I only use regular QDs on clean surfaces, while I will use S&W on light to moderately dirty surfaces. I spray, let dwell for 10-30 seconds, then very lightly wipe (almost using just the weight of the towel alone) with a very plush microfiber towel. I do one pass this way, then turn the towel to a dry section and lightly wipe a second time. If it's cold or very humid, it may take a few extra wipes on the second pass. Use common sense, and do not just continue to use the towel if it becomes heavily soiled. In those cases, get another fresh towel or two to finish up the job.

I tried S&W out on my car today, the car was wash 6 days ago and had a nice dusting on it.

I used the same method I do for washing starting from top and moving down, roof, windows, hood, trunk, etc. Leaving the lower panels under the door moldings and lower rear bumper and front grill for last. I sprayed a few mists on each panel and let sit for about 5-10 seconds, and wiped gently with a mega plush, then flipped towel and wiped again. Used another clean mega plush to give it a light buff back and forth. I switched to a new towel after doing half the car. So I used two mf's to clean and one for light buff.

S&W is a great product, My car looked great! It was very clean and was pretty darn slick? It seriously looked just detailed. I plan on using this between washings and when ever my car is not to heavly soiled.

I have AIO/SGx3 on my car right now, and yes its pretty slick but not that slick. I have noticed that my car feels slicker after S&W then it does a regular wash? Then I was wondering whats being left on the finish? The only thing I could think of is maybe cold weather? using to much? Does anyone else feel that it adds some slickness? Maybe it's just me. :dunno

P.S. I Like the added slickness!, But it's a concern if I want to add a sealant or wax afterwards.

I use it as a cleaner beofre I wax or polish , and after to clean up residue .

S&W is my favorite all time product !! It look's great and has alot of flexibility in it's uses. I honestly prefer using it for Qd'ing instead of using a straight QD.
