I have one question for people who say the BBC tells it like it is. How do explain the fact they have refused to use the word "terrorist when talking about the scum that attacked the US on 9/11?

"For several years Republican and Democratic leaders have been briefed on what the President was doing and declined to protest or bring the disputed procedures to the attention of the House and Senate. They could have done so using closed sessions so as not to alert the enemy. Instead, they allowed the President to continue the surveillance. "

...i guess the minimum 10 character post doesn't include quotes.
Spilchy said:Come on, they're "bombers." The same applied to the TERRORIST attacks in London in July. The BBC referred to them as "bombers." After all, the BBC's guidelines state that its credibility is undermined by the "careless use of words which carry emotional or value judgments..."the word 'terrorist' itself can be a barrier rather than an aid to understanding".
Wow, whose a "terrorist" then?! :faint: Look up terrorist in Wikipedia and tell me the BBC is correct! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorist

Obviously I am not savvy about the news media. Personally, I prefer watching The Daily Show with John Stewart and The Colbert Report. I find it so much more pleasing to watch and I prefer to laugh than hear about people dying left and right. I find almost every station out there to portray something or other, mostly crap. I watch CNN the most because its news, 24-7, but thats it.
Here's an interesting tidbit from the same friend as before:
"If you were to travel anywhere outside of the US, once a foriner from the respective country you are in hears that you are American, that's it--Prepared to have your ear chewed off an spit out, the rest of the world hates us and our media, ALL MEDIA-is too blind to tell us that."
Have a good one.

I'll kindly remind Europeans and thank them for colonialism (that has carved up half the world leading to modern day conflicts), WW1, WW2, Facism, Communism, Nazism, the Holocaust and ethnic cleansing - AND it took the United States and all our sacrifices in men and money to save them from themselves and the world as a whole.
