opti-seal is here...

OK Anthony, hELP ME OUT!! When I get my OS WHAT is the best combination to make my red RX8 to the ultimate finish. Do I polish everything off my car then use just the OS? Or do I apply over 10 coats of Pin. Souveran. Or something else? I have at my disposal polishes- optimum, Men PO85RD, glazes by the dozen - RMG, VM, Pin.,Ez creme, mirror finish, etc.etc., sealamts - UPP, Klasse AIO, WG, MEG 21, etc etc....... Waxes Pin Souveran, 5050, PS21, Victoria, trade secret, etc etc many more. The best looks come from Po85RD with a polihing pad and no other product. I have not tried the Optimum polish, ................2nd PO85RD, RMG, Pin SOUVERAN X 5 ...................

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF THIS WAS YOUR CAR? SPARE NO PUNCHES!!!

From AutoGeek

This FIRST OF ITS KIND product leaves no residue and requires no buffing.

There is no other product on the market like Opti-Seal.

Seems like Autogeek needs to clear up their advertising a bit, so it's just slightly less false. OS is not the first of its kind, it's actually the second to hit the market. And two, there is another product in the market that functions exactly like OS. Truth in advertising anyone? Not all of us are sheep...

Until you have tried the product yet, you cannot say it is the same as CS. You can go to any retail site and post errors in ads.

Your best look will come from a highly polished and scratch free surface. Remember that OptiSeal has no cleaning or hiding properties, it is designed to protect and enhance what it lays on top off.

So polish it the paint as best as you can then lay down a coat of OptiSeal. I would then come back in an hour or more and lay down one more coat. Wait 24 hours and see what you have.

If you think it needs more then you can lay a nuba on top, spritz it with your fav spray wax or maybe it looks fantastic and you will just add another layer of OS.

I hope you get great results........I'm as nervous as a fox at a hound dog show right now!!

You think those are errors on the AG site?

I didn't say it is exactly the same as CS. What is known is that OS is a spray on, walk away sealant...so is CS, so they are in the same league, minor differences aside.

Considering my disappointment with OCW, I think I'll wait for the hype to trail off before parting with the cash. I prefer real world results and performance.

Its an ad to sell products. Do you know how many ads say stuff like protection up to 6-9 months? Or Nu Finish's own "once a year product". Does it really bother you that much, write the company or dont buy the product.

Yes, actually false and/or misleading advertising does bother me that much. Misleading advertising is a slap in the intelligent consumer's face, regardless of the industry it comes from and its untolerable, quite frankly. And, no, I won't be buying from AG, if I buy it at all.

And, I certainly can't point to "hundreds" of spray on, walk away sealants on the market. Care to point me to a few hundred of those?

Thanks for letting everyone know. I cannot think of one "detailers site" that does not do some sort of false advertising. Think of these lines.."protection up to 9 months". That exact line says it could also protect for only 1 day or up to 9 months. Its just creative advertising.

I just ordered my OS from AG. They changed their sale from $19.99 with 2 free foam pads to $24.99 with 8 free foam pads. I had the $19.99 order on my shopping cart and it changed and updated it to $24.99 w/bonus. Oh well... more foam pads for me!!

Can't wait to try this stuff side by side with Z-CS.

I just placed my order on AG. Their side claims they have it in stock...I guess we'll see.

Can't wait to try it out. I use Poli-seal and Optimum polish and they rock. If it works the way it should I think opti-seal will round out my arsenal well.

Spray on rub in and walk away. How many spray on "OTC type" products are there that claim this? Tons, sure CS and OS are different, but they are spray on and rub in products.

Mike, From what I understand the "misleading" info has been removed from that vendors site.

Funny you mention it, I just checked and noticed it was gone also. I just don't think it's too much to ask of people to be truthful, even when pumping up a product.

I just went to try and order some...........Its NOT 19.99$ Why?

there was a small typo in the AG newsletter and the correct price now is $24.99, and they also include 8 poly foam applicators free w/ purchase...

I cant believe this hasnt been asked yet, especially with the OS over CS ideas.

Can we polycharge Optiseal and if so which one do we use?

Also how long does it take to cure?

WOW! :shocked I just put two applications on my silver 350Z about two hours apart, it took about three hours to really see the results.........This is the single biggest improvement I have ever seen in an automotive product on my car!!!!!

I went out to top it off with some Z8 because I didnt think it made that big of a difference,

when I got out to my car I just couldnt believe my eyes, I wiped it down with a dry microfiber and went back in the house!:spot
