My wife sends me to pick up a couple pieces of fruit.

i come out with two pieces of fruit, a mother's clay bar kit, and a viking chenille wash mitt. :D

I do the same thing, once I walk out the door I ask myself why I just bought the stuff, I like to have a bunch of stuff whether I use it or not.

I like the fact that I can pick and chose what I want, not from a few products I have.

Good for you, Jay! I know how it is. I'll make excuses to go to Wal-mart, say to pick up some pencils, and I end up spending an hour in there!

Isn't it great that Wal-mart has Mother's Clay Bar?

Sounds weird but the only store that stocks detailing stuff around here is K-Mart which is going under........ aside from that I need to go to PepBoys, AutoZone and auto related store, you guys got it easy, sounds like you people are finding Meguiars in Burger King...

absolutely, i was quite happy to find it there, and it's $5 cheaper than at Pep Boys. It was kind of an added bonus that i saw the viking mitt there, after all the talk about them on here.

I was using some other mitt.

Wal-Mart has mother's clay bar kit? I'll have to check the local one tonight on my way home from work. five bucks cheaper than Pepboys, I hope the local store stocks it!

:bounce

Anyone see that commercial for Circuit City, where wife says get what you need in few minutes and were outta here....then they go in the door and his eyes light up and runs....and she lost him....well sounds like similiar situation for you'all at Walmart and other stores....

jeff

The warden had a meeting last night, so I was left to my own devices. Pouring rain and 36 degrees, and I "needed" to make quick trip to Wally World, Autozone and Pep-Boys.:D

Did pick-up a Mothers Clay kit for $13 from Wally, though. Man, it was cold!

I love shopping for stuff and I am the guy in the Circuit city commmerial LOL.

I went to a body shop supply store today and hung out for a half hour looking at all the stuff...Very expensive but they do have some good stuff but BIG BOTTLES... they had gallon jugs of FI 2

Meg. clay 2 bar pack for $19.

All kinds of goodies!!!!

Two commercials come to mind.

The wife is driving the van...husband and friends are sitting in the back seats....wife tells them she will pick them up at a certain time. The time arrives and they don't want to leave the tools dept.

Other commercial....the Tool guy is on a video screen and one of the shoppers yells .....theres a sale on ballpeen hammers(or such).

SO....we gotta have the DETAILERS commercial

This senerio can be built upon.

Camera One fades in on Wally World ...... police are directing traffic.....massive crowd trying to enter main doors......camera two has a closeup on two Autopians

Autopian #1 has a doe eyed expression:eek:

Autopian #2 is saying.."Wally World has a sale on Big Blue Towels"

:bounce

Is the mitts you picked up from Walmart 100%Cotton with the cotton logo on it??

My local Walmart in the bay area only has the non cotton Viking Mitts.

I know exactly how you guys feel. I can't just walk in to a store (Wal-Mart, K-mart, etc.) without checking automotive section.

Maybe they have some new stuff? Gold Class Wash on sale! etc.

I even check different stores in town. This way I pick up more and more stuff and my wife thinks I'm going nuts.

Sometimes it pays off, I found Rain-X wheel protectant at Auto Zone (loved by YoSteve and probably discountinued) and STP Vision Blade at Wal-Mart.

I stopped by Wal-mart today, but I only saw Detailer's Choice chenille mits and pads... no 100% cotton, no Viking, no STP Vision Blade :( . There was a wool mit, but it looked like a different one. The label said, "Will not scratch most polished finishes." MOST? That's discouraging. The old ones said they will not scratch at all, guaranteed. I was pretty disapointed.

There was also some 3M bottles at Wal-mart. One was called "Finish Restorer," the other was a rubbing compound that "safely removes 1500 grit." I can't find these on the 3M website. Anybody know what these are?

Man I have the same sickness.

I go to Safeway for a quart of milk- I must[/b] cruise the aisle with the car stuff. K-Mart? Same thing. Raley's? Same thing. Walgreen's? Same thing. Orchard Supply? Same thing. Home Depot? Same thing. Kragen's? Same thing.

Like I have[/b] to know what they carry. Like there's going to be something there I've heard about, never seen before, and just have to try. (yeah right).

Damn good thing they don't carry car care stuff at Starbuck's......

:scared Help Me! I am obsessed! :scared

Starbucks has Carnuba coffee ..........er no wait that is columbian coffee...oh well close enough.

I look to find those special sales!!!!!! Red tag items!!!!!!

That littl yellow smiley of wal mart is also a good place to look:)
