I am with carguy here, I cannot even go to Vons or Albertsons (or even Michael's crafts store!) without looking at detail supplies. Heck I found some at a college bookstore! LOL
Just went to Walmart few hours ago to check out new DVD releases. Honestly I had no intention to buy any car care products but still ended up buying these. The worst part is I already have these (except I am currently using a different nozzle with less settings and a bigger Chenille pad with cotton logo on it) so I'm sort of just stocking them up. Well, I did buy Fast & furious
Hey it's a lot better than drugs, crime, floozies, etc. And you end up with a great looking car. Well, I gatta go by Wal Mart for some, lets see sugar, yea that's it sugar!
Hey, wait a minute.....I've been detailing my car just to try to attract the floozies! Did I miss something? BTW, I've been using 100% cotton chinele wash pads made by TurtleWax. I picked up a couple of the Viking after reading some posts, but to be honest, the cotton yarn on the TurtleWax product is much thicker and longer. I was dissappointed with the Viking pads. I do love Vikings foam applicators.
Where are you finding these 100% cotton wash pads and wash mitts???? I went to Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts, Pep Boys, Sears, and Wal-mart today and I didn't see anything that said 100% cotton!!
They prob ran out since Viking is going to discontinue them. I did not find it at Autozone/Kragen around here either, but found it in Walmart. That smaller wash pad in my pic is not that good (too small, actually I bought it to wash my lower panels). The bigger Wash Mitt is much better.
DK still has some of the wash mitt left. I thought you knew? E-Mail him and you can stop looking!
I might do the AutoZone and Target thing. Looks like Wal-mart will have to be added to the list. I should have raided Trak Auto when they were closing all the stores up here.
yeah f1 im a massive and i mean massive fan and have been for about ten years now of michael schumacher - i konw some people dont like him but he is u have to admit a good driver - look how he turned the tables at ferrari - when they had berger & alsei they were always loosing -
It is a very rare instance that I can tell anyone here something that I learned / discovered becasue most members abilities are LIGHT Years ahead of me. However, My desire to stay warm (In NY) and keep my car clean has led me to find a glove that I think anyone who washes the car in winter would like to know about.
I purchased a pair of Professional window washing gloves with a velcro closure. I don't know how long they will last, but when they wear out I am going to get another pair! My hands did not stay 100% dry. Very little moisture getting in but the warmth from you hand warms up the moisture and it feel "heated". had to get through 3-5 minutes of, on man these suck, OH Well! Worked out excellent.
The ONR worked out OK as well but I can't keep feeiing that I am scratching the ____T out of the paint. After the first pannel I mixed up a 2nd bucket slightly weaker and did a double bucket ONR wash. BTW does the dirt stick to your wash media like glue? Could not rinse it out at all.
Jeff,
That is exactly how your wash mitt should look after an ONR wash. Just follow the instructions on the label, and you will not scratch the paint (provided you have a wash media with no dirt imbedded in it, and you use at least 1 grit guard).
The gloves look like a great find. I am in NJ and the ONR wash I did last week was pretty darn cold, so, they could have come in handy.
