Exactly one month ago, I cleaned & prepped my mom's E320 with a polishing followed by some 3M IHG and then I put on two coats of NXT with the recommended 24 hour waiting period in between. I then topped off with one coat of 3M Perfect It Show Car Paste Wax. The car gleamed like it never did before. Since then, it has endured two or three rainstorms and two hand washes with Zymol car wash. This car is also garaged everyday, BTW. Today, I was at the pediatrician's office walking towards the car in the rain when I noticed, to my amazement, the hood & trunk were totally devoid of beading or sheeting! Water was clinging to them like a big lake. The roof was still beading, but that was because I just put on som #26 on it a few days ago. So, I guess Guru Reports was right. NXT doesn't last worth S#*t and the 3m is not much better. And this car is garaged everyday! The only reasons I can think of for the lack of durability is, maybe, the two waxes react poorly with each other or the Zymol car wash actually stripped the waxes, contrary to what they claim, of course.:down
