New Zaino Paint Cleanser

Seems I remember the Z-PC had small amounts of Zaino, like an AIO, is that correct?

Sal never mentioned to me that the Z-CP has any protective components. I do remember Sal telling me after one of my test that the weather interrupted  that I did need to add some protection as soon as possible. From this I will assume that there is no Zaino polish (protectant) in the formulation.

Man the product description for it was exciting and really brought up some emotion.........:bawling:, it was liking describing an exotic sports car :chuckle: [/B]

This is very exciting for everyone that has been waiting for a final polish that will work perfectly with Zaino polishes and even in most cases eliminate the need to wash with Dawn. I do suggest at least a Z7 wash prior to starting the polishing process.

So, we've got bubble-gummy smells from the sealants, melon from the CP, peach or asian pear candy from the z8... that's got to be the yummiest lineup of car products ever.

Now, of course, I have to order some of this. hehe. thanks for the info!

Thanks have you gotten any samples of Z5 Pro or is it still in development, look like an interesting addtion to the line if it can fill better.

So does the pad determine alot of the abrasiveness? Can we go to Z2 Pro right away?

Excellent question!!! :bow

Like any polishing regimen, one must take in consideration what pad should be used. I normally use a LC or Meg polishing pad but on the Z28 I used only a finishing pad because of the condition of the paint on this rarely driven garaged vehicle. Same with hand application: folded terry towel or sponge?

Yes, you can go straight to Z2-PRO, Z2 or Z5. Z-PC leaves the paint perfect for paint-to- Zaino polish bonding. :woot:

to me last month in an e-mail that his new Zaino Paint Cleaner, using his own words, is:

"Similar to 3M SMR.... mild, but works real well"

This puts it at about a 3 on the Meguiar's scale.

Just ordered some to compare it personally with Optimum Polish and Menzerna's PO85RD.

Keep in mind, Sal has not re-invented the wheel. Just a perfect finishing polish component for his system of protectants. :bow

I have been very patient since the release of Z8. I havnt tried that yet as I was waiting for the ZPC. I ust put in my order!!!:bounce

All this excitement over some stupid car polish.....

What can I say.........I'm easy to please! :D

No. The new product is a "true" polish/cleanser.

Even though Z5 is called a polish, it is a protectant that has some surface marring hiding/filling ability.

Z5 will still have an important place in the system to hide very minor surface imperfections not completely corrected with polishing and also Z5 works great to hide those minor blemishes that occur between complete surface prepping (claying & polishing) during washing, QD'ing dusting, and just driving.:wavey

Corey, I thought the phrasing of Z-PC diminishing abrasives (intelligent) was very creative. Sal could have used the normal "high tech" phasing. :nixweiss

Well my problem is that it makes the other polishes feel sad. This new Zaino stuff makes all the others feel like red-headed stepchildren since they do not have "intelligent" diminishing abrassives. They just have "diminishing abrassives" that aren't intelligent. BUT IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT. :angry

so with this new zaino product there is no need for dawn? if i were to apply zaino on my car i would:

1.wash

2.clay

3.wash again? or go straight to the new zaino Z-PC?

Just ordered some Z-PC and a few other goodies. I'll post up my reactions to how this stuff works as I've got a brand new black Acura TL to try this stuff on:eek: :up

Jeez this thread exploded. Well needless to say, my order is in as well. Can't wait to try this stuff!

Then I'll be soon after bugging Sal for packaging in larger quantities. I'd love to be able to buy it 32oz at a time like I do my Meguiar's polishes if it turns out to do a better job. :up

Great to hear! :D Zaino is definitely on my list to try.
