New ONR?

Its safe to assume that a new formula is coming out. Things progress and products are updated. I dont understand what you are trying to say with.. "what gives?" ONR is an awesome product and a staple in many peoples arsenal. If DR. G can make it better than kudos to him for making a great product better. Personally, I would stock up with these prices if I didnt already have 3 gallons.

I missed my chance to talk to him yesterday but I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt mention anything of it. Remember he didnt really mention a new updated version of Optimum polish then out of no where we got Optimum Polish II.

From what I had read elsewhere, it will be a waterless wash. My guess it will have one dilution for waterless, then another for rinseless, etc.

The last thing they need to do is go around messing up one of the most loved products by "autopian" detailers.

Then again, they could indeed make it better. Im up for a try if its true.

One can only assume that this is true, especially when the suppliers have the word Closeout in red

This usually means that the product is being phased out for the new generation product.

I was going to re order, but the closeout price is no different than the Black Friday price back in 11/09. Might as well wait for the new improved version....

Dr. G. keeps things quiet, he doesn't want to be part of the hype machine. Plus, he tests the heck out of everything so while a product may seem good to go, he may have a few more tweaks he wants to make before releasing something. Always hard to nail down a release date so why mention it until the product is ready for sale? After Opti-Coat being mentioned but still not available on the market, I'm keeping my mouth shut on anything I may test until I know it has been shipped to his distributors.

The new ONR has better lubricity, more gloss, and a new scent. A new waterless wash product is going to be released next month.

Oh, it's already out? I wasn't going to say anything until it was. :p

I've already got it (arrived yesterday) and had tested it as well. More gloss, slickness (you really notice it when drying) and lubricity. My Escalade customer today couldn't believe I had just washed it and not already waxed it. No idea how he made it better but he did.

Has a cherry-ish scent. Bubble gum was tested too but since the QD already has that scent...

Damn it, I just about a bottle of the old ONR three weeks ago, haven't even opened it yet!

This always happens to me. I bought some Hyperdressing and then it's announced that Ultimate Protectant is coming out. I bought a gallon of ONR and it's announced that the new ONR is coming out. And the new ONR is cheaper than what I paid.

Just do what I'm going to do with my nearly full gallon of original ONR-use it on tires/wheels, clay lube, etc.
