New ONR?

Oh, it's already out? I wasn't going to say anything until it was. :p

I've already got it (arrived yesterday) and had tested it as well. More gloss, slickness (you really notice it when drying) and lubricity. My Escalade customer today couldn't believe I had just washed it and not already waxed it. No idea how he made it better but he did.

Has a cherry-ish scent. Bubble gum was tested too but since the QD already has that scent...

what other new optimum products are coming out that you are holding out on? :bat :D

Stuff is always in the works but I'm not the only tester so I'm not in the loop on anything. After posting about Opti-Coat and it still not being out, I've decided not to say anything until the product hits the market.

Crap. I just bought a gallon on top of the 32oz. size I already had from ADS a few weeks ago. Lol, it will take me years to go through this much. I should be ready to order just a few weeks before Optimum redesigns this new version again.

This may be frustrating to some. But, it's really a smart approach. If I were Optimum, I'd encourage all testers to do the same.

Being in the software industry where vaporware is ramped, you eventually learn you save a hell of a lotta time ignoring stuff till it is actually usable. I was reading about some new fangled way to generate engergy to run our country's power grid the other day. 5 minutes into it, "why the hell am I reading this?". It's not like I can do anything about it.

And actually, I think I'm just gonna stick with my old bottle of ONR for now. It's not like it's a bad product.

Dr. G. keeps things quiet, he doesn't want to be part of the hype machine. Plus, he tests the heck out of everything so while a product may seem good to go, he may have a few more tweaks he wants to make before releasing something. Always hard to nail down a release date so why mention it until the product is ready for sale? After Opti-Coat being mentioned but still not available on the market, I'm keeping my mouth shut on anything I may test until I know it has been shipped to his distributors.

Scott, the new ONR is out. Would like to read your impressions!

Yep, new version that has better lubrication and more gloss characteristics plus a new scent.

There are products on the fringe that I so want to blab about but I promised I would hold not say anything.

Ive always wondered...if someone tests a product....on someone elses stuff (ie: their car) and it has adverse affects....who is liable?

slightly off topic, sorry.

Exactly. I can't wait to try the new stuff out, but the old ONR is so good that I can't really be too upset that I've got a stockpile of it. :2thumbs:

I test everything on my own car first.

me wonders what else is in the works...perhaps a new OCW, seems like a given since a new ONR that has "new gloss" characteristics.

I shall call it OCW2....

Thanks Charles, I just questioned the OCW 3.0...

I used the 1.0 and the 2.0 (even an in-between prototype) and there was a huge jump in product performance between the two. But 3.0...?

FWIW, I don't think there is an OCW 3.0.

Since there is a rumor that Optimum has some new products in the works, I think someone thought an updated OCW might be one of them.

Hard to say with Optimum. Who was expecting a reformulated ONR?
