I laughed out loud when I saw that this was the first reply. I was thinking the whole time... hmm... clean... but ricey enough that I gotta hold my breakfast down so I don't ruin my keyboard.

rice = pretense

To the ignorant, rice is anything without a v-8 or a made in detroit.

I see no pretense in this car. I see no modifications on it to give the impression that its faster or more high performance than it is, otther than a hood scoop, but it comes from the factory like that (like some mustangs...) Everything else is a question of style and/or taste.

If my dad had the drive to work over a car this much, that would kick arse.

Back to the detail, tho. Looks good. :]

Rice is blowing 6k on a slow car to put a body kit, lambo doors, suv rims, and a custom interior in it. Wouldn't be a shock either to find that this car has a fart can on it that sounds like it's breaking the sound barrier at 2500rpm in 1st.

If your dad drove it to work in this, it would kick arse?

If my dad drove in i'd kick his arse. I like muscle cars, and I'd even take a BONE STOCK civic over that celica any day.

First of all, rice to you seems to equals any stylistic modification that you think is tacky. That's not how the term is used.

Secondly, just because you're too young or too inexperienced to appreciate anything but sinking money into muscle cars doesn't excuse yours or anyone elses' utter lack of social courtesey here. There's a maturity gap here and its the difference between "OMG RIC3!!1!111! ROFFLE BARF " and "I don't really like what's been done to this car."

If your life experience is so narrow that you come onto a detailing board to simply put down another person over the internet because you don't like their car while using pejoratives you don't fully understand the meaning of, maybe you should re-evaluate exactly what you're doing here.

Very nice detail...despite everyone negativity on the matter the car doesnt look to bad, i think with a different set of wheels would give the car a whole new look. Obviously its a show car and has to stand out in many ways. Remember, to each its own! Trunk set up is pretty hot!

Give me a break. When someone matures they stop putting money into performance and start putting it into lambo doors and body kits? I'm too young to appreciate the type of mods that are predominantly installed by people MY age?

But ok... the detail itself IS nice. It was well done. The mods themselves were WELL DONE... and though I think it's a ridiculous way to "mod" a car, at least it wasn't cheap. So i'm not entirely trying to trash talk the guy who detailed the car or his dad, as much as the car itself.

But on a side note... I'd love for YOU to define what you think "rice" DOES mean.

All I have to say is when you post images on a forum you should atleast expect people to comment on it good or bad. Doesnt matter if its a Ferrari or a sub par Toyota Celica, the comments will come just take them with a grain of salt.

Chris

you can put a dress on a pig but it's still a pig LOL....just kidding. I don't think this forum appreciates cars with all the little toys R us nick nacks added on, a more mature crowd and this is after all a detailing forum.

I will say I like some of the items put on the outside of the car...nice way to increase drag HAHA.
