I thought I would post a detail I did for my dad on his 2000 Celica GTS. It came out pretty nice and got alot more depth and looked alot wetter than I thought it would. No detailing for the interior. Interior is pretty flawless so we just dressed it up a little

Wash with Adams

Clay ( Meguiars claybar - I hate their claybar, way too hard to knead, and will be using something else)

Wash

SSR2.5 with LC Orange Pad @ Speed 6 w/PC

SSR1 with LC White Pad @ Speed 6 w/PC

PwC with LC White Pad @ Speed 6 w/PC

P21S x 3 by hand using spit shinning method with S&G "chilled"

Topped with EX-P

Glass Cleaned with S&G, the SIG, then a coat of EX-P

Wheels cleaned with S&W, and a shot of S&G, polished with PwC and sealed with PB's WS.

Tires and trim dressed with VRT

I thought I would try that order just to see what kinda look I would get and I think it came out great. Durrability wasn't an issue because we were getting ready for a show which turned out too be a show he wasn't interested in. The people promoting the show did not inform anyone that was coming to the show that is was for older cars. Guess the only people who knew it were the ones who came the year before. That's ok though.

Man that was COLD! I felt the artic blast all the way over here. Nice shine on your ride though rice is not my fav dish.

The paint looks nice. Any full sun shots?

I tried like heck to get some direct sun shots but the sun just wasn't cooperating with me. I will be detailing it again in a couple weeks so I will make sure and take some direct sun shots. The car is actually my dads but just isn't my cup of joe. Car is nice though. He is going to sell it and get a 300 and go wild with that this time around. Deciding on colors right now so soon as he males up his mind he will sell the car.

I don't care what the car looks like. Its the detail, which is beautiful.

Thank You very much. I just started playing around with detailing and I'm really enjoying it. Some people just can't respect a good detail, even though I'm a "newb" haha.. Take care!

Looks pretty good, I just don't understand why you would layer a carnuaba then top it with a sealant? :nixweiss

I'm not to fond of the car, seems a tad overdone especially for an automatic :nervous:

But its not my car so as long as your dads happy with it thats all that matters :dance
