yeah this is an intresting thread..... but manm is it getting long... I have only seen one thred on autopia longer. Its some diet or exersize thread....

silva, I wouldnt call it milking, its more just using what I paid for.

And knuckle, dont worry I will do a write up on the process for those interested

The first time 3 weeks. This time I'm at 2 weeks and waiting.

Heh heh, I contribute a lot more of value on *that* thread...I just pop up on this one now and then to get lbls1 revved up :D

I sorta bought another car instead of buying Vintage...another one with such messed up paint that such a LSP would be a waste. Given that the cars I'd use it on have such serious issues, I really dunno if there'd be much point in using an EG on them. Still, I do find the topic endlessly interstesting ;)

I'll be interested to hear about the turnaround time on the refills.

3 weeks to refill a $2000 item seems a bit long don't you think? Even if they used the slowest shipping method (let's say UPS 5 day ground), it still shouldn't take that long to come back to you. What if you're a pro Zymol-authorized detailer and your business depended on this product?

well im re-opening this can of worms.... It was time to send it back. I used the entire tub already :(... but it means its nonly a 1k tub of wax... so its in the mail, should be at zymols factory in 6businessday :D

Didn't you just get that tub? How many cars did you get out of it? Isn't there a time limit between refills? I have 4 cars and polish or wax most of them, atleast my garage queens after every wash so I would be going through it pretty fast too. This tread seems like it will never die. Post some pics of that Vintage shine.

I could be wrong, but I thought that anyone using zymol for commercial use did not get the refills.

I don't think this is true otherwise Paul Dalton wouldn't advertise using Royale, unless of course he pays for a new tub every time, which I highly doubt.

You have to pay Zymol fees and then they allow you to use their wax commercially, but the fee aint cheap.

I hear its $10-12k a year and that is only a "licensing fee" you still have to pay for the wax.

I had had the tub for just under 3 months.. how many cars.. umm i prob got 30, however I know you can get more. I tried aton of diffrent methods, I applied way more then I had to see what happened, I may or may not have dropped about an oz (i put it in the smaller containrer and dropped it lol).... I have found the best method is a polish pal with a 4inch finishing pad... I would say you can easly get 50 cars if not more this way (ohh and it still looks great, I just use a halogen to heat up the pad so the wax melts)

As for the 3 weeks, its not that bad. I talked to diane and she said to scoop the last couple oz out so I have enough... works for me... plus its going to take 6days to get there (canadian mail is slow, and yes this is the fastest) then it needs to be made, poured and cooled, finnaly shipped back, which should take a week.. so 3 weeks to me in not that long

Accm, what did you get? is this the A8 or is it another one.... and you still need vintage, ask lbls1.

And finnaly, with the refills and business,. If you are an authorized detailer or reseller you can get it refilled. I have heard its 12k but for some this is more then worth it.....

The beer thread is on page 114 now.... :cooleek:

Alright!!!!!! MDRX and Mike! I am sentencing you two to Waxaholics anonymous....just tell them lbls1 sent you..........they'll understand lol!!!!

Accumulator...............fretting and moaning about 2k and then you buy another vehicle..............hmmm very interesting indeed. By the time you decide you need a premium wax you would've *accumulated* so many cars that in fact it would make better sense for you to spring for Royale.................at 7500 bucks a pop!!!! Now if you'd taken my advice EARLIER.........hmmm!!

Ok I'll knock it off. Mike and MDRX you see just how good this stuff can get right????? I'm impressed though, figuring I have had a year's jump on you two, and you guys are on your first and second refill alreadys!!!

well i wax atleast 3 cars a week,... some weeks even more. one week i did 10 (with a few friends help).. that used a ton of wax... when the weathr is nice hear i take advantage of it... today sucked so no waxing (plus i worked).. it was-20C, -3XC with the wind chill.. right now its -45C with the windchill.. thats -49F....its kinda cold so no waxing. but yeah when its above 0 i wax everything with paint... and some stuff without it

Your friends will know who to come to for the "good stuff."!!!!! You won't be able to keep them away!!!!! I'll bet if you even charged admission they'd still come lol!!!!

Glad you guys don't mind my babbling all over your EG threads :D I really would like to try the Vintage on the right car.

Heh heh, LOL re the "ask lbls1" :D

A 3-week turnaround doesn't sound that bad.

Yeah, I got another '00 A8 just like Accumulatorette's (well, different color). I borrow hers so much I decided we need another one. That makes *three* D2-series Audis :o Those things are too big for me to use an EG on, and they all have so many issues I don't think it'd be worth doing anyhow (well, the S8's deer-incident repairs aren't *that* bad, at least not to anybody but me).

Heh heh, I'd better sell the Blazer and the M3 pretty soon or I'll be fretting and moaning all right!

[Latest excuse follows:] Now I've accumulated so many cars I don't have time to use something like an EG on 'em.. I need to get the M3 and RX-7 back together and maybe get the Jag back from my mechanic, and get the run-flat inserts on the Yukon so I can mount its new tires, and and and...oughta spend more time doing that stuff and less time posting here :o

Wish I had *one* car with a cool paintjob worthy of an EG...instead I have a big herd of drivers with paint issues :o Kinda a bass-ackwards approach to this hobby, guess that's why it's an "accumulation" instead of a "collection" :chuckle:

I hear ya...

I got it. Instead of building that addition to the garage...........build a paint booth, and you can even subcontract out a painter!!! That will take care of at least half of the roadworthy vehicles in your arsenal....(besides......you and me know that you're loaded pal lol!!!!).

Then you can start putting some EG wax on each car as it gets finished!!!!

J/K........You do what you gotta do!!!! But I'll be waiting!!! *Heh Heh!*

lbls1- Heh heh "addition to the garage" indeed! I'm maxed out, no more room for more garage space (don't think I haven't met with my builder about it ;) ).
