I just ordered Vintage

So i got an intersteing e-mail. The guy from ocd sent me a msg saying he had an emergecny and that my wax was stuck in customs becasue there was no msds sheet.

Its to bad he had an emergecny but after waiting a month with no respone i had no choice.

Guees I will be refusing the order when it comes in this week.

This wax had turned out to be more hassel

Maybe I will regret saying this; but I am going to make a bet - he's still BS'ing you, and there is no wax in customs.

thats what im thinking, either there is not a wax, and he has to prove to the CC company that ther is or im sending itback... it just means more hasel for me... the part that makes me think its bs is that he said it was becasue there was no msds sheet. I have never had them in an order, and i have made more then a few

I think his emergency is probably that he already spent your $2K and doesn't have it to give back to the CC company.

That's my guess. He is going to try to get out of the chargeback. An MSDS sheet in a customs shipment? Please. I've had literally hundreds of shipments without ever being askes for an MSDS.

I think your're all correct. Zymol has always shipped products overseas without issue. Sending wax to our friends up north is a cake walk.

Therefore, as long as you've handled the credit card correctly by notification and documentation to dispute the charge, I'd just tell this fool to pound sand and don't even acknowledge anymore crap. Just send him to whomever is handling the dispute at your credit card company and be done with it. You're off the hook now.

Damn, all this for a lousy tub of specialty wax. Someone could have just purchased the wax from Zymol and drive it over the border themselves without such problems.

Enjoy the wax!!!

lol too funny emergency??? He couldn't even give you a better excuse. Well that's too bad. Its his problem now.

Edit: You know.........I am mad and this isn't even my issue. All of those emails, waiting for almost two months, and now this sob story. If for an obscure reason (of which I doubt) that this package reaches your house, just refuse to accept the delivery. Your cc company will do the rest, as I'm sure that you've documented this issue very thoroughly.

thats the plan, i am not going to accept it. It just a waste of my time,. and there just isnt enough these days

Nice review calgary,

Don't you think that on the pressure washer video, the pressure was straight on the paint.

not only you might damage the car but also weaken the wax,

I do the same as you only twice as far as you were

thanks, and i have never had an issue with damaging the paint, i dont normaly stand that close, I just did that day for some reason.. I dont realy know why.. just kinda worked out that way.

Im not to worried about the durabilty of the wax. My car dosent go more then 2 weeks without a new coat of wax :)

You will likley never get the oppertunity. We have brought in hundreds of shipments and not a single MSDS. If customs had a problem with a shipment they contact the receiver, not the shipper.

thats intersting to know, thanks chris. I thought it was fishey, im glad there are lots of pople with great knowledge here...

to be tottaly honest. If i had done this on my own i would be pissed, with no wax and no money.

I really do appricated the help and support everyone has given. not go get all sappy, but it is grealty appcirated :bounce

Nuba always has a soft spot but I generally get to play with nuba in the fall & spring season.

I'll play with it in the summer but heat and such, it's not the best application for me.

I've read Sbees impression on Vintage on his DD. Love to hear some more opinions on how Vintage holds up in different climates, storage conditions, wash frequency, etc. Does it get oily and attract dust or pollen, etc.

Even though this might be the longest thread in Autopia history and you went through a lot of hassle, there are two great things to take away from here.

1. You got a wax that you love no matter what the price is and what other people say.

2. You alerted a lot of people to the fact that ordering from OCD Garage is a BAD idea.

I know after reading this I would NEVER order from them. I already knew that Vintage was a great wax. :D I just wish I had unlimited refills. :( I only have the sample size and I'm almost out.
