Seems Vintage is getting more and more popular, at some point calgary, prep your car and put Vintage on half and Concours on the other half just for giggles. Not trying to say you won't see a difference, we all know the differences in waxes are subtle, but I am curious...
MikeWinLDS said:Very nice pictures. For these high-end Zymol waxes that require you to work the wax into your hand to melt it down ot mix the enzymes or whatnot, what about people that don't have baby-smooth hands and get ahold of this stuff? A roughened hand could scratch and mar the paint, no? Is there an alternate way to apply this stuff?

jfsully said:Ok I absolutely hate you guys.......Ive been debating about a Vintage purchase for a while.
Im one of those guys that likes to put a coat of wax on every week or so and want the best look possible.
i have a obsidian (black metallic)MB SLK55 and a white BMW 5 series.
Does it make sense to order the vintage :nervous2: (and I already know the answer)

My reason was just because there were other things I would rather spend the dough on. I love detailing as a hobby. And I really enjoy trying all the cool waxes and sealants.
Although now I'm pretty much just using Zaino. (I still have TONS of other stuff... Jeffs, Poorboy's, Meguiars, Pinnacle, Clearkote... etc.)
Anyway I think it would be really cool to have something that high end just to have it and play with it. But ultimately, for me, it came down to what I wanted for the money.
In the end it's a wax. Will it be the greatest wax on earth? I don't know. But that wasn't why I was debating buying it. I was debating because of the cool factor and the fun of having it and trying it. I would suspect many others feel the same.
But that said... if I could get it for cheaper I would![]()

I was told to put $500 insurance on it when I return for a refill.
calgarydetail said:im sure I will be doing lots of experiments with vintage. I will have to add that one to the list. perhaps on my moms rx330....hmmm it would be cool on black...
MikeWinLDS said:That's kinda wishful thinking isn't it? I could think of a plethora of things that could happen to ruin your car, well not by you, but a lot of people out there are just not as attentive or just flat-out jerks and they could ruin your car's perfect finish. But I guess that's what insurance is for? Just putting that out there.
