How do you *trash* a product that you've never tried??

It's life and there is no way around.

They will always be around till Armageddon. Till then, minus well stop ranting and raving about it. :argue

If its not that serious to you, then why are you posting or asking about it?

Of course we are all responsible for our actions, well most of us anyway.

It's not that serious to go and jump on a bash session on someone for something like this. I like Honda's and you like Corvette's. Should I get in a bunch because you don't like Honda's?

I think the question asked has been throughly answered then. I can see this going south as we seem to have a couple people on here with apparent problems in the past. I see flame war coming.

Somehow I don't think I would be welcome at all though I could be wrong. It would only serve to fan the flames and I don't want to do that at all. It just baffles me when one could know all there is to know about something that they haven't even seen.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic, not serious :o

I drive a 91 Acura legend, used to drive a vette. I like both. :D

As long as you don't tell me the honda is faster. :xyxthumbs

I'm reading some threads on another site where a product is just being slammed by a group of people that have never tried it?

In general one can not slam anything with having hands on experience and being impartial about it. What you see is, unfortunately, part of a human nature, whether it is this detailing product vs that detailing product, it is also PC vs Mac, domestic vs import, Honda vs Toyota, or Chevy, or Ford, you name it. People are like that. Trying to understand why will just give you headaches because asking 'why' means looking for a logic behind it, while there is no logic whatsoever behind it.

Personally I don't understand the bashing. I use Zaino on some of my vehicles and I like the product line. I just prefer to keep my mind open to other products. I have used all of the Ultima products and think they are great. Will I stop using Zaino probably not. Will I continue to use Ultima on some of my vehicles and my customers vehicles yes.

Why this has to turn into finger pointing and stupid demeaning graphics baffles me. I have seen more mature behavior from teenagers and children in playgrounds.

I'll try anything once.. Maybe even twice to make sure I'm using it properly. if I like it I'll get it again. If not I won't. But I've never shunned anything without trying it before. Sometimes I've learned that I was using the product in a wrong fashion and thus not getting the results I was expetcing. After a little education a few products I changed my mind on. Others not so much.

Wish i knew where this convo is talking place

Detailersclub.com is where it's at.

I don't understand it either. I mean, has anyone here honestly trashed Zaino who has never tried the stuff? I don't think so.

The posts/threads bashing Ultima/Autopia on that site are very childish. God forbid anyone over there actually try out the product that they claim is total garbage.

Being on a budget, every dollar is stretched, amazing how much more conservative I get with each passing year - anyway, my point is, I've seen some negative comments about products normally used in bulk by large detailers/dealerships. Personally, I would rather get a quart or gallon of some Malco product than pay the same for 8 oz of a boutique brand. Not knocking anybodies stuff, I just have had really good results from Malco and a little company in Raleigh named Majestic Solutions. But, I can understand why if you paid 70 bucks for a can of wax, you would consider it way above my 35 dollar a gallon carnuba. Fortunitely for me, my detailing customers can't see the difference - neither can I.

No one on this site has EVER bashed the other website or the product or products they prefer to use. :faint:

Who really cares? Compare away... Zaino vs NXT, Zaino vs Ultima, Zaino vs the flavor of next week. In 6 months, some other marketing campaign will boast to be better than Zaima or Ultino... and is will be soaked up like a biscuit in gravy.

You guys really haven't caught on to the fact that it's not about the product... used it or not used it... it's more about the marketing of the product. Just don't glance over the posts over there... actually read them and you will understand.

Exactly what I mean and I respect your choice and would never call you a fool for those choices.:)

EDIT: Just to add to it, yes, it IS the product that's being bashed over there. You're not being baited so you can't be "pulled into" anything.

**It's not my intention to make this an us vs. them thing.**

You're bent out of shape at marketing? Do you hear BMW crying cause KIA says that their much less expensive SUV is faster than an X5?? It's flattery that someone comes at you with the claim of being better. They consider you the benchmark. Isn't that a compliment? At the same time there is also free advertisement created for you.
