Halogen work lights at Home Depot

just picked mine up on the way home from a wash and wax. First time using meguiars nxt2, that stuff was a pain to take off. Im use to optimum spray wax, just chose to go with nxt to use it on my new used xp lol. I also wanted to see how that wax would do on his black escalade, I feel it did a nice job, he was just trying to prep it for the sell. Back to the halogens, great deal!! ima test mine out tonight once it gets a little darker..

I just test mine out, sturdy yes, also very bright!!! kept me warm while standing directly in front of it... I might get another one, im thinking one on each side would help out on cold winter days. Definitely helps find swirls. Overall, very pleased so far with my purchase.

do they extend/go up very high?

not very high, im 5'9 and it came up to about my shoulders I would say. Still, the lights so bright I don't mind much.

Saw this an bought mine over the weekend. They had two boxes left. One was open and the other was not. Obviously I took the unopened one.

Just my luck, the bar that mounts the two lights is missing. FML.

I'll return it to a different HD and hope they have some in stock.

Went to Home Depot today and picked some up. They could not find them at first as all of them were in cardboard boxes on top of the shelf where all the halogen lighting is kept.

Came home and put them together. They are not tall by any means, but will work fine for detailing a vehicle. Very bright as well.

Just make sure and not to touch the bulb when putting them in. :)

For $20 it's a damn good buy.

Thanks mc2hill. I've been looking for some halogen lights and i was going to go get the $80 husky one at home depot. but I guess I have to head over there today and get those, hopefully i'm not a few days too late. couldn't pass up that deal!

^ small ones might be useful. I ended up buying the heavy duty Red one that they sell since my last set broke down on me. I know Phil has the Green one's but those are too big to go mobile with. 5 Year warranty shouldn't be too bad.

about the red and green ones, does it help that they both have 2 bulbs that go inside to help show defects?
