While this may be a great machine, what makes the PC the best machine is versatility. I have not found another DA that has a threaded backing plate spindle. This allows a wide range of backing plates and brushes to be used with the PC. Until another tool maker figures this out, the PC will still be the machine to have.

I can understand why you like this handle design...it looks good...just like the Makita.
Thx.

While the final verdict may be that that Griot's polisher doesn't cut it, I would not consider that review to be the...final verdict.
imacarnut said:i can see what you're saying to a point, but megs product or not... i trust joe's opinion and know he would post an honest review even if it was not in megs favor (why would he go through the hassle of ordering one, return it and even start the thread). quite a few people were really interested in ordering one, and found his thorough testing informative. but hey... i guess each person can order one and draw their own conclusions...
Setec Astronomy said:I'm not saying that Joe isn't honest. But I challenge you to find one thread on MOL where a non-Meg's product for which there is a Meg's equivalent is discussed in a positive light. Part of it is forum decorum...you don't talk negatively about the host at the host's party. Don't be naive about the fact that mfr's forums are used as marketing tools, and that the content is edited/manipulated to some degree. How many links to other detailing product suppliers are there on MOL? None, because commercial links are not allowed, there's not even a Griot's link in that polisher thread.
