While I respond to your points, lets be honest. Ever since I misunderstood your post and tried to apologize, you have had it out for me. That is what the problem is.

This is the second time that I have seen you try to discredit Paul Dalton.

Not trying to discredit him. I already told you 3M thing was a joke but I don't think you understand that. I do think that he is a little over the top and I know some of what is behind the marketing, but more power to Paul. He is good for the detailing community as a whole.

Now tell me why that is. He didn't do anything to you did he?

Now the question is, since I have tried to make good with you and you continue to ride your horse, why should answer anything for you. Espically when you ignore my reasons. The point of your questioning isn't so that we could clear the air in a constructive way, it is so you can make a little tirade.



Men discuss things, children throw attacks. What is your purpose here? In the slight chance that reanswering questions that you ignore...



Paul has never done anything to me and I wish him the best. For the 5th time, I respect what he has done to for this community. Now expressing my opinion as a fan of detailing may not be the most professional attitude, but I come here as a detailing enthusist and share my views as such.



I'm sure we both remember when you PMed me stating that the only reason you come here is for work and you insinuated that was my only reason... When I corrected you, maybe that is when this bad blood started? I come here as a fan of detailing and an enthusist, I don't come here professionally. I am proud of my work and share it on occasion, when I have the time.

One can only assume that there is something about him that bothers you.

Although I wouldn't do some of things he does (and he wouldn't likely do some of the things I do) nothing about Paul bothers me. However your attacks are me do get tiresome.

Based on your posts I see envy. That is my issue with you.

You issue with me (remember you stated that you lost what LITTLE respect you had for me) goes much further. Other wise I would have had more then a little respect from you.



However, my issue with you is that your are basing your assumptions as factual. I am not envious of Paul, more power to him. He doesn't put food on my son's table so what he does has little effect on me personally or professionally.

Unless you can prove that he only fills and doesn't correct, your accusations are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL.

FWIW Thomas the only here that isn't admitting any wrong doing here is you, and the only one being stubborn is you. I not going to get personal so I am not going to take this any further. This thread is off topic enough because of your attack so I will no longer respond to your attacks. They have grown old and that reaks of envy.

Why do people get so uptight about this guy? No one can say what they want without someone crying about it. To disagree is one thing but to argue over somebody we don’t even know is ridiculous. Even if you do know him does it really matter?

I must protect Dalton, I must protect Dolton. COME ON.

I don’t hear anyone saying he sucks, can’t detail, should get out of the biz. Almost everyone has respect for him and what he has done. But why do we all have to agree with everything about him? Most of us know of Dalton because of You Tube and that’s it.

I think we have a right to our own opinions whether they are right or wrong.



I heard that everyday before he goes to work, for good luck he throws a cat in the river and then slaps a gerbil . Oh, and his drying towels are actually baby seal skins. That’s just despicable. :nana:

I'll try to get this in before this thread gets locked. BTW, can we stop getting threads locked guys?



I've noticed in watching videos of Paul working that he mentions that wetsanding areas will create a more even shine thus leaving a more attractive finish to the paint. He takes a PTG guage and maps several areas on a panel and then sands to ensure a more even finish (not the typical sanding to remove OP or defects). He then goes through the compounding/polishing steps.



I haven't seen or heard of anyone else doing this to paint for this specific purpose. I'm sure a lot of people are thinking "who cares" or "it isn't necessary", but a lot of people used to think the same thing (and some still probably do) about jeweling paint for hours after all defects have been removed.



Just my thoughts. Maybe I'm wrong.

no it is true i really only see it done on high end autos or autos going to the pebble beach concours show or someone who is real anal about show shine it is alot of work but well worth it in the end
