I am have a problem using the Search Feature in the forums. No matter were I try to search from, ie. main page, specific forums, advanced search, I get the same Error Message -

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 9437192 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/autopia.org/httpdocs/forum/search.php on line 975

"

Is anyone else having this problem. Whats is wrong how how can it be fixed. thanks for the help
 
3 things for me:



1) AVATARS!!!! they still can't be changed.

2) horrendously slow load times.

3) those double bars NEED to be removed, they are just so distracting.

Ditto for me and the gallery section option someone else noted :wall does not have log-on link
 
The clock is still a little over two hours slow for me, even though my time zone is set correctly in my control panel. The members/guests online on the home page seems to be backwards.
 
The new forum software gives you a yellow quick preview box when you mouse over or hover over a thread. I find the display time is usually always too short to read the entire post before the preview box disappears. To redisplay it you have to move to another thread and then hover over the previous thread again. This behavior is quite annoying.



To make this new feature truly useful, the display time either needs to be extended or programmed to display the preview for as long as the mouse cursor hovers over it.



If this isn't possible, I'd almost prefer to dump this preview "feature" alltogether as most of the time I just end up becoming frustrated with this preview behavior and end up clicking on the thread link to read the entire post anyway.



Anybody else annoyed with this behavior?
 
I've noticed it too and, like you mentioned, I go back and hover over it again to continue reading the "preview". David would have to respond about whether or not the viewing time can be extended.

I'd go along with more preview time. But no need to trash it if it's not adjustable. Any is always better than none.



One thing I would like to see is the return of a "Mark All Threads As Read" button on the new message listing page. The old software had it but now one has to go to the Forum page to get to it.

Firefox gives me about 5 seconds (counting in my head) to read the preview. That's plenty of time for me. If you get less time, then this is a problem with your browser.



Any chance of the skin being cleaned up? At least an acknowledgement and saying it won't be changed? The clunkiness has caused me to stop reading the forums as much as I used to. I can't stand the look!

On the search feature..the search word or phrase comes up in a gold color..if it could come up in a red or another bright color it would help..

I am having major problems with the "Login" feature. I will log in, get the "thank you" for logging in, get re-directed to the home page, but my credentials will not be remembered (even though I have checked the box). I have cleared my cache several times but to no avail. Funny thing is when I click on the "register" button, its says "according to our records, you are logged in as MCA".



EDIT: When I revisit the site or open the browser, I am not automatically logged in (as I want). However, by clicking the "home" button from the forum links bar (not the browser home button), I get automatically get logged in.....very strange, at least I found a workaround.

I am having a problem getting pictures to display. I have used Photobucket previously with no problems but it just puts the file reference details in which you can click on to see the pictures.



Anyone else had this problem? or know what to do to correct it?
