Hello guys
I showed you a preview of this car yesterday and this is the process from start to finish.
The dealer was a little upset with the price, but was amazed at how it came out. Toward the end I was getting overboard and had to sacrifice my time for correction instead of lsp as it was getting sold soon. So for lsp it just got a wipedown of Z8 and I was rather impressed in how it turned out. One minute after I finished taking the pics it down poored very bad, so I had to take the last pics very fast.
This was for a local used car dealer who just had this painted and had detailed also. Neither of them did a good job. The stock paint was beat and had been patched 10 times and then some. The new paint was very cheap paint that the shop uses for wholesale work and the purities in the paint stink and is very hard to work with. but I have done this 100's of times dealing with cheap as paint.
Menzerna really kicks some major azz in the correction dept. when worked correctly and it's the missing correction ingredient that I have been looking for in 15 years. I can get it 100% swirl free with a rotary with a look that is to die for.
The owner had some people interested in it to buy and just wanted to take the curse off of it. I took it to a whole new level and this one get a golden award for quick correction in my eyes. The owner was shocked at how it came out. The paint blended in so well and it does not look like it was sprayed 15 times anymore.
Here it is and my process was
Wash Z7/pinkstuf degreaser
wetsand 1500/2500
Presta UCC/wool on some spots but had issues with paint fading fast as I was working. Cheap paint sucks
Powergloss- Yellow edge wool pad 1500-2000rpm
PO83 SIP- Orange LC CCS pad 1500 rpm
106FF- white CCS pad 1200-1800rpm
LSP- Z8
