All I know is that I would rather believe in what the bible teaches, And in the end find out I was right than to disbelieve and in the end find out I was wrong. TD
I believe in evolution.
It's interesting that those who don't believe in evolution don't believe in it because it's difficult to accept that a seemingly random sequence of events was the start of our universe. One could say that the problem with intelligent design is that it is based on the belief and exceptance of a single, all powerful being who just happens to exist out of nowhere.
Heres the problem with that statement. The bible has been changed to fit the needs of its beurociecy (sp). The king jamesbible is nolonger considered to be the most correct english version as it is to poetic. The american standard is more acurate. Also as already mentioned we dont know what bible you are reading. Unfortunly there are tomany edits to "prove" such sientific facts, as well as things such as vitiam K are from experiance. Jesus was not the first to be cirumsied (it was a jewish covet from god) and therfore it was most likely an experiance thing over a know scientifc or medical fact. The knowledge was there to have medical facts such as that in 1AD
We didn't evolve "from" apes. Humans and apes diverged (are on two separate evolutionary paths) from a common ancestor and continue to evolve along different paths. So we "share" a common ancestor, but apes are not our ancestors. Just some trivia: Human DNA and Chimpanzee DNA are 99% similar. In the grand scheme of things, we are just another species occupying this planet...This offends some people, but humans think that just because we have the capacity for complex thought, that we are exempted from the laws of nature and are in some way superior. LIke its ok for other organisms to evolve, but not me. I was made perfect from the get go. Just think of all the people you know with back problems, shoulder problems, knees, hips, cancer, and on and on. Pretty obvious what side I'm on. Was never a fan of religion for scaring people in to doing "good". I do believe in God though, just not intelligent design.
I am still a big KJV lover. I have other versions to reference for comparison, but give the the KJV in large print as my "go to"![]()
There's a joke in here somewhere - something about wearing suspenders AND a belt and having your pants hiked up to your armpits.I know, I know... get off your lawn.

Didn't Lot sleep with his kids to preserve the seed of man? Wouldn't that make us a product of incest? icky.
So were humans hanging out with dinasours 165 million years ago up until they went extinct 65 million years ago? Also if Noah went through all the trouble of keeping animals alive, why did he kick the dinasours to the curb? I mean those things were bad a$$, why let them all die? Did he save every insect, animal, fish etc... or just a handful? How many did he take? Genesis 7:2 says one number and then Genesis 7:9 says another. Did God go on to create all the billions of life forms after the flood that Noah couldn't save in the boat or was he finished after the 7th day way back when?
Given that the Hebrew bible (or "Old" Testament) starts off with Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 contradicting each other, I soon checked my creationist beliefs at the door when I suffered through Hebrew school every Sunday as a kid.
Currently 20 of the 32 armed conflicts around the world are fueled by religion. If those who believe in the Creationist story were born Hindu, you'd believe something else about man's creation and then type that here, therefore rendering, in my opinion, religion fundamentally relative and lacking when it comes to explaining the scientific facts about the world's origin.
Stumbled across this one and thought it deserved a bump.
LOL! I'll save you a seat in Hell, Ron.
maybe it should have died with Spilchy's speech :lmfao
I will never have enough faith to be believe we evolved from goo by accident and there is plenty of evidence out there that leads me to believe in Creation. Carbon dating, evolution, the earth being millions of years old is all theory and I hate that we are fed that as fact in schools.
I don't see how anyone can look at all the living things on this earth and not believe they were created. :hmmm:
I had to read this a couple of times, I thought there was some dry whit in here that I wasn't picking up on.simply because we have already seen evolution at work in the past 300 years .... dogs ... there were no dogs ... they evolved into pets with most being man made breads...
