Color choice for your next car

First car was a BLACK 92'LX Mustang 5.0L spent a tonne of time detailing it!! love the look of black waxed, but maintaining it is a major pita, currently have Reflex Silver Golf, and love it, even with a light color it still shines well, next car will prob be a darker grey or maybe dark blue??

A metallic pearl white color - Cadillac's White Diamond is one amazing color when properly cared for. Depending on the type of car it can provide a sporty and classy look all at the same time.
YES! I agree. In a BMW this color would ROCK! The Lincoln Town Car has this color, and it is a pretty thing to see when it is clean.

Since I've seen only one recommendation for red, I'll second that choice since I just bought a car in the Dark Toreador Red metallic paint. I've never had a red car before, and I just love it. Even with a light coat of dust it still pops.

i'm actually surprised here with all the negativity with BLACK.

If we are all in the business of making auto's have depth/ reflect/shine/glimmer/glow etc etc... than what better than black.

to me, its the easiest to make look the BEST and the most WOW factor.

my next will be black...and the one after that will be black...call me nuts?!

come on guys,, silver and white are just too easy!!!

i dont get too excited about the lighter colours, although, I think Silver is taking over the world.

I do enough black cars via my customers. My next car will be silver with a black interior. Silver looks decent even when dirty so I won't be QDing my car the instant I get home and black interiors tend to make any spills much less noticable.

For my next vehicle... If I get a sports sedan (BMW 3 series, Acura TL, MB C class, etc. ) the color choices will be

white (metallic if possible), titanium silver or light metallic blue.

If I get the 2005 Mustang...screaming yellow!

Black, little chrome. I'm a truck guy and I'm debating between 2 trucks. Ford F-250XL 4x4 or a Chevy 2500HD with the 8.1L BB.

I love the Superduties but what bugs me is they don't make a BB engine, not since the 460 anyway. I don't need a diesel and I won't get the benefits from it with my driving schedule. IMO, with a truck like that, a big block is almost necessary so it can get out of it's own way. Now the Chevies are not my first choice but they are very good looking trucks and they come with 2 versions of the BB V8. 6.0L gasser and the 8.1L. Decisions, Decisions :nixweiss Sorry to rant off topic, just thought I would share anyways. Black with little chrome is my choice color,,,,,,AR

I've been working on my dad's black truck this afternoon and I can say, with zero doubt, that I will never buy a black vehicle for myself. Too dang much work! I swear the paint mars just by looking at it.

I have been a committed black car person, but with my workload increasing, I am finding less and less time to maintain my car at a respectable level.

I will be getting a dark grey gunmetal type colour ( easier to look after, but still can achieve a bit of depth with it ), but not silver ( I personally find it sterile ).

My car is a metallic red, called by the manufacture Patriot Red.

I don't know what the previous owner did to cause the swirl marks, and some scratches that look like it was taken off road, but I've put in about 20 hours total to remove them with no reoccurance, and maintenance has not been a problem. The color looks iridescent in the sunlight and I'd have the same color again.

I agree my wifes silver car looks shiny and clean, and thats about it. No real depth. Next time we will try a darker silver or charcoal color.

Nothing pops like black but I picked Red this time around.

Waiting for warmer weather to apply that first coat of Zaino to my new ride. My 02 Blue GTP look great after using Zaino for a solid 2 years, in its 3rd year I slacked off but it still looked great when it was clean.

If its a weekend toy (sports car) that doesnt see winters and is in the garage it will be black.

My choice of color really depends on the car, but just choosing colors I would have to pick Blue (what I currently have), dark grey/charcoal/gunmetal. 3rd would be silver

My last 4 cars have been silver, but since coming here I think I may try a black car next. I do have a feeling i will regret that decision.

For years I've always had dark colored cars/trucks. ( dark green, dark blue & black) I think the next time around I'll be going with either white or silver.

I presently have 3 black (non-metallic -only true black) vehicles (67 and 95 Z28, LS400) and 2 red vehicles (66 Chevy II SS and 67 Chevelle SS 396). Had my fun with black and red too loud for my taste these days (over 50).

My daily driver is non-metallic white 00 Escalade. A dream to keep clean and detailed.

Suggestion:

Daily driver: white or some shade silver / grey. Detailers dream colors. All a breeze to detail and look as such for a longer period.

Probably a dark red, like on the later C5 'Vettes. Not kidding myself, it won't be easy to keep up with, but it'll be easier than black.

I've had my car over two years and I'm already sick of flat black.
